I talked with Silas today, he was super cool about everything. I've dealt with several companies before and this is definitely the best customer service i've received.

I agree with this, helped me out as well.

pretty sure this is a very rare happening.

Wakeshredder, I think you're talking about when Remote switched to Moonshine from a previous manufacturer (and not from Moonshine to someone else). That was done somewhat recently (sort of...) but not super recently or anything.

P.S. You and I both know, that the second a board from that HUGE company I was talking about, hits any kind of rail; Warranty is null and void Idea And yes, I imagine even Remote holds that stance, but at least all the Remotes I've seen are bulletproof by design, not cheap to maximize profits like some companies do it.
I love how you're going so far out of your way to hate on that one wake brand that you won't name, but that everyone already knows. Because, like, you don't wanna name names or anything like that. How about if you just said that Remote made damn good decks (and stands behind flaws) and left it at that?

So, as electricsnow touched on earlier- hate for the sake of hate is not what this place is all about.

scott a, I do stand corrected. The switch that I mistakenly thought was more recently was in fact to Moonshine like you said. I apologize to anyone and everyone on this forum, and on "the other side of the fence" for any misinterpretations of my words. You know, I've been wakeskating for almost ten years ( and skateboarding for 22 years) and it's easy to place the blame on the larger companies of either sport for over saturation of poorly produced products... I should have pointed out, that, those companies are often working with great talent and often with the best designs money can buy. It's just sad to me that these groups are not implementing quality control before someone who can barely afford a deck sinks there hard earned money into a product that we all should agree was under built and heavily marketed towards us. Also, last but not least, the only reason I said they "DAMN well better be made in USA" is because I am a proud American who makes real products (albeit graphic and signage) right here. Our company buys American materials and we employ many people who desperately need those jobs. We want things to be done right! The only reason those awesome designs the big guys producing are failing, is poor manufacturing in uncontrolled regions of the world. It's so sad to me that every great thing eventually turns into a profit margin at the hands of these great entities. So for that "animosity" or whatever it was, I am NOT sorry. Just sad Crying or Very sad

I think it's pretty important, especially when dealing with ROC's Smash that you contact the company about things before going on a public forum to complain. I'm not saying anyone is in the wrong here, but that's my answer to all this; More often than not, it's able to be dealt with discretely. The reason it's best to refrain from public complaints on the internet is that it actually can throw some people off, and possibly prevent them from buying a good product they may have bought otherwise.

I'm glad you're able to get a replacement though Cool Silas is the man.

I assume I'm reading this wrong, but it seems that some people may still not know that Remote's are made in the US. Our boards are actually made with American products within an hour of my house in Oregon. I've said this before, but we do have 1% warranty rate. That's very good considering most other companies are at about 20%. That being said we do have boards that go out and after a little bit of use become a warranty issue which we handle as quick as we can. We have not moved production over seas and have no plans to. Hope everyone is clear on that. We would hate to hear anyone would think we would make boards overseas sacrificing quality to make a bit more on our margin. Ben and I own and operate the company with the riders and are barely getting by. No investors, no bosses, just us.

Silas
