vance, what are you talking about? Or more specifically, what skate decks are you talking about?

as for the composite flexing, nekkie tried to make his little hybrid wakeskate and he said that it didn't work with that tolstoy on top. So I think the flexing has a lot to do with how it works. It's like the hardware is what gives that top deck room to flex, and the energy from that top deck is what helps accelerate that board out of the water. But that's just a theory and I could be totally wrong.

electricsnow, yea that thing nekkie made was HOMEMADE, if he would have made it with a wood deck it probably still wouldnt have worked.

thanks jboss lol Razz

but your probably right, main issue was that the integ was too wide and sticking out on the sides. Didn't want to sand it so droped the project so I could still ride the tolstoy.

But as jboss puts it, if you did it like a *pro* it would work for sure.

as for the bi vs integ they are both different decks and the bi really stands out form the rest of the market. When they work out their initial flaws it will be killer Evil or Very Mad

i always agree with electric snow...what skate decks from "all the major companies" are made from composite and not wood???? but the integrity did flex a lot, but if you feel a wood 4-trac, which i stated when i tried an integrity and didnt like it, it has less flex than the integ. i think it needs to be thick enough and strong enough that the little flex that a wood deck will do from all the pressure exerted on it, it will give enough spring back to make a difference. i felt that the integrity was to thin and flexible and that the spring back was nice when you bent it or flexed it on the dock, but when i rode it, i felt it tracked so deeply in the water and was way to flexible to get any power when i tried to pop it.

no offense, but if you don't want to start rumors then you probably shouldn't say something on a message board. shizzle spreads like wildfire on here...

Thomas and Cassette will be back in '06, '07, '08 exc. Even if they do crappy. Think about it kids, if Cassette didn't have a major investor they would have tanked 04 year. Wakeskating is not a rich industry, and although I don't know how much Thomas makes per year (none of my business) I'd be willing to gamble that him by himself couldn't make it happen after a failed year...

That's just my two cents.

Don't get me wrong Thomas needs to be in this industry, but I don't see Cassette "tanking" any time soon...

rob wharton, I dont think youve ridden an 05 then. . . .

as far as Thomas I really feel like hes an Integral part of the soul of our sport, but I cant cry to big of tears for somebody whos doing it to themselves, some people may disagree, with me and thats fine I am no expert, but thats my feeling, customer service is Key especially if you have a product that is crapping out on you you HAVE to make up the difference in customer service. but I dont think Thomas is going anywhere and I hope they get there problems worked out for 06, b/c all the money/investors in the world wont save their Image from another year like the last two

DRAGON88, thats true, theyve had bad years before and they didnt stop. think about it, mainly the people who said theyre not gonna make bis anyone, the bi is theyre top selling board, theyre not gonna get all their money back by selling flat decks and 4tracs. if they fix the delaming problem and continue making bis, then theyll probably get back on track.

if they don't get their sh#t together they WILL go out of business. MAJOR investors are not major idiots. they invest their money to make money. why would someone keep investing money in an operation that fails year in year out (assuming the trend continues). don't give me the tax write off excuse either. that lessens the blow but doesn't wipe it out. if you lose $10,000 then you can only save $4000 (assuming 40% tax rate). so overall you still lose $6000. i'm sure cassettee is way above these figures and it think it's safe to assume that if they don't straighten it out they'll go down (hopefullly not).

Thank you vance, because I was totally confused! I was seriously like....what? Is he serious? I know lib has some funny designs, but outside of that, I've only heard of dwindle working on a layer of carbon fiber inside a wood deck.

And there weren't any emoticons in your post or anything.

gorath, I'm pretty envious of you. I saw reed was going to be in MN doing some clinics and i wished so badly that I could have found out where he was and driven over for a day. I love having a day off for the strict purpose of driving somewhere to ride. I miss that a lot, and I don't do it as much. Where was the demo you attended?
