| well pirate...we put in the rail the other day and yes it did float on its side, just like you said, but that was asctullay to our adavantage and then it only took 2 people on one end to pry it up and then we sat on it while one person went down and dropped sand bags on the bases...it actaully worked really really well and considerably painless....so all in all you were right but....not really....its dank nuggs.....ill get pics up soon

looks like i'm a bit late, but what the hell.
first of all, that would definatly float and secondly you've used way more wood than you need. I've done a quick sketch of how we would have built it, trust that will still be strong, lighter and a lot cheaper too. It's like anything, the more you build, the more you learn about what works.
The second picture was a rail we did for the UK Wakestock. It was about 15ft of the water and if you look at the structure, there's less wood on this monster than there is on you flatbar. It was strong as fcuk, so you don't need lot's of wood, just put it in the right place.

Damn... I live in Eden Prairie and my parents just bought a "lake home" on Mtka. I just started skaing a few weeks ago... lol. What bay are you on? I might have to cruise by and check out that beast once its in.
BTW my place is on Black Lake... yeahhh.

| well we already know where we are goin to have it but if we need some place else then we could go check out long lake......and the rail is in Upper Lake through the narrows going west...you'll see it if you go along the shore a little bit...its ill

| we could of used you plan but everthing fell into place perfectyl and we found those frames...overall we payed about 20 bucks and that was for the metal brackets...so we lost pretty much nothing
