The grip is dying:
How many of you have re-gripped their handles, successfully?
Should I attempt a re-grip or just say some prayers and buy a new one?
What say you, wise members of ws.com?
P.S. My favorite and most indestructible handle was the old green Cassette handle with white grip I once had. _________________ Your mom is my favorite knee boarder. |

Yeah, if Accurate wouldn't have gotten all fancy with the multi-colored grip, we wouldn't have this problem.
Cassette Handle > Accurate Handle, IMO.
At this point I am thinking remove existing grip and regrip with tennis raquet grip.
Blog me out of it. _________________ Your mom is my favorite knee boarder. |

One vote for regrip, two for shop return, one for gloves (made me laugh), one for griptape (made me laugh harder) and one for a new handle (non-carbon fiber).
I still think regrip is best option, but I'm always open for other ideas.
I'm surprised more riders have not had this problem.
This is the second carbon fiber handle I had that the grip died. The first one was returned for the one in the photo above. _________________ Your mom is my favorite knee boarder. |

W, i've regripped and respliced my rope/handle about 30 times since 2006. I found this handle that I love and everytime the rope wears down and breaks, the handle breaks, or whatever happens, i just regrip the handle or if the handle is too far gone i resplice a new handle on the rope.
my favorite handle i've EVER used, and I've used quite a few. and it was only 30 dollars. (i bought like 10) |

skimboarder, i used to have that handle. the grip started comping off and it was just a strait metal rod under it.
but that is a very good handle. AAAAAAAND it floats. |

Straight Line and Helium = replaceable bargrips
check out a chamois/suede wrapped or rubber grip handle. The suede is stitched together and will be more durable and cushy. The rubber grips (grippy stuff on a baseball bat) are pretty cheap and last forever but sometimes hard on your hands. _________________ Feed The Whale at http:// new website coming soon
