Get a faction???

i have a hyperlite scape 107 (2004) and im thinking about getting the liquid force faction (2005).It is said to have a lot of pop.i want to stick with wooden boards cuz there cheaper.any suggestions on whether i should get it?

Sk8WakeOrDie, you should support rider owned companies. look into a cassete or a kampus makes cheap wood skates that are pretty bad a$$. just please dont buy a liquid force or a hype.

If I were you I would go either for a Kampus K41 or Cassette 4 Trac! No doubt about it!

sk8wakeordie, Unfortunately I can't advise you in such a decision because I've never ridden either board. Hopefully, there are other people on here (which, I'm sure you are) that might be able to help you with the LF question.

As for the politics everyone's referring to, you have to make your own choice on that (and do it because YOU want to and not because 20 people tell you to). Such topics and "ethical responsibilites" aren't for everyone. So don't sweat it if it's not for you. In the end, it's more about wakeskating and promoting that and having fun...

Anyway, good luck with your board hunt.

get what you want if you want a liquid force get one its not the board that makes a person good its the guy standing on it, a lot of people on this website forget that, the faction looks like a good board, i say go for it, buy what works for you not what these other guys ride and who they are sponsored by, if your a begginer buying a integ or something might be a waste of money if you find out that you dont like it or whatever

Yeah dude, get whatever feels right to you. Demo if at all possible, otherwise just see how it feels on your feet and get a feel for the flex at the store. the big companies can offer decent skates for a very small price, and they will still stand behind their products. I know from experience, LF took good care of my warranty issue when they were technically out of business 2 years ago. So go for the faction if it feels like a good skate, its your call.

My advice to anyone that is looking to buy a wood skate... DO NOT buy anything that is mass produced in Asia... im not saying wait and buy one of my boards, but everything i am building is made by hand and is built with aircraft grade wood from the Northwest and the finest materials.

The choice is yours... buy something that will never fall apart and you will enjoy riding everyday or buy something from a bigger name that will give you a warranty because they have to with the full knowledge that it was built cheap and will sooner or later fall apart... I know i have never wanted to wait for someone to warranty a board in the summer.

just my 2 cents.

There is one at the shop and it has a good solid feel to it. A good weight if you will. I just can't get over the foam top. They might come in grip. It looks like a solid board, good luck.
