Ok heres some pics of my trip to Long Key,Florida. This my first time ever upon a skate(10 miutes b4 was my first time ever) The first one is an attempted shuvit Rolling Eyes

lol next one is just of me ridin. I only rode 4 like 20 minutes cuz it was getin dark out and thats when the sharks like to start feeding is dark, so my as$ wasnt gona get eaten. Shocked

I ride under like three bridges on the river I ride at. I always get a stupid gay smile on my face when I go under it while riding, I dont know why. I just think its cool.

hyperlite640, from the pic it looks like you were trying a front side shuvit? if you are id suggest trying backside shuv its because they are easier IMO. that was a tiny ski handle you had lol.

yea when i ride under bridges its sweet. i always like carve and spray the pillars. its better then a kflip imo. and easier to get consistant Smash

and why couldnt the sharks just swim under the bridge?

even if it was glassy as hell there i'm pretty sure i wont go riding in salt water in florida, or on rivers too close to the sea...

out of 80+ shark attacks a year, something like 40 are in florida! that's more than australia or south africa combined!!! but only 2 or 3 attacks a year are deadly...

and that's cause you guys got bull sharks, the meanest fiznackling shark! those fizzle even go up rivers to hunt, a few miles up in fresh water.

enjoy ridin' in the keys haha

keep at it anyway, just go there and ride if you got the nuts!

yea greg you get that smiley feeling because on one bridge someone spraypainted nautique rules the river then someone else spraypainted and crossed it out so it said PONTOONS RULE THE RIVER

4 guys got hit this last offseason... 3 of them were bull sharks and one guy got attacked twice fishing in the same area

seven11dmd, yah i was trying a fs shuvit, and yes that was a pos handle. i dont have one and my friend gave me an old one, cuzhe didnt have his new one yet. the grip on it was nearly gone, but i was still happy Cool

by the way, had i seen ur avatar b4 i went, i prob wouldnt have gone Shocked

then on the way down my aunt is talkin about how her friend who lived there 4 20 years, said theres great whites down there Shocked

i only saw sharks while out fishin on the flats, and they where all nurses xcept for 1 hamerhead who i almost hooked.but there where an assload of tarpon which at one point i thought was a monster shark(it mightve been a few times)

aww, it seems like just yesterday i was driving home on that bridge... BAHA it was.
looks pretty fun though. i didn't get to ride last weekend, too choppy.you don't really have to be crazy to ride in the keys, just smrt.....
we did get three tarpon and three permit the last two weekends we went down.
and there are practically never great whites.

pretty sure theres no great whites in fl...especially the keys, way too tropical. but yea, if u get urself thinkin about sharks(especially when ur surfin waiting for a wave) it can psych u out bad.

stompin9s, You're kidding right? There was like 7 documented great whites caught and tagged by Mote Marine last year... I don't know if that number is exact, but whatever. Like 30 years ago, there was like so many of them... anyways

We were chasing dolphins in the flats on my jet ski, and my dumb friend Joey is like "I'm gonna jump on one!" So we try to find them again and we come up to one that's like 12 ft long goin like 15 mph and right as hes about to jump on it, we see that the tail is going side to side and it didn't come up for air Neutral
