today sucked balls. i was waiting all day, actually all week, to go riding after school today. i could only go if my friend went (need 3 people in the boat cuz the ocean 5-0 is strict out here) and he was buck about going too. i finally got home, confirmed with my dad if we were going and called my friend and he said he was going. i put all the shlt in the boat and then my friend calls back. he says "i dont feel like going", so now i cant go. on a sidenote im never inviting him to come again cuz he always does this. anyways im sittin around pissed that everytime i want to ride, something gay happens to f it up. finally my mom came home and she said she would go, so i out evrything back in the boat and we leave. once we get there, we're about to launch and my dad says "you tightened the plug".. . . . . . . . FVCK ,i thought quietly. i forgot to put the plug in. since we had no replacement, we couldnt go. my last chance is sunday and i dont think thats gonna work out cuz it never does. just thought id share and get the anger out.

Damn, that sucks man.

I haven't ridden since september, and it's really starting to bug me now that it's warming up. We're heading out to our cabin this weekend and I would kill to go for a skate, but there's probably still ice on the lake. Even if it's clear, the water will be absolutly frigid and I don't have a wetsuit or a drysuit and my parents would probably destroy me if I even mentioned putting the boat down... Smash

ya man i feel your pain, my friend ditched me 3 days in a row, *cough* top hatt cough* then this weekend, im supposed to ride we get out, i get a bit warmed up like a few runs, and then BAM this gay redneck cop pulls us over, he gave my friend 4 warnings and it was on my boat, (scottyb) and wtf, we ahd to have 3 people, and ive been pulled over b4 and only had 2, they just chekd for life jackets, so i had to go in and force my lil bro to come, that was gay cuz i had to pull him, then friday, scottyb got sick and couldnt ride! and i got a cal from kampus saying i gotta give them my credit card number cuz they need 10 more bux for shipping (another thing to add to my bad luck with boards) im have all kinds of problems other then wakeskating..... and wakeskating makes them go away while im riding.... and i can barley even do that without major problems. AND NOW ITS WINDY AS FRUCK OR ID BE OUT NOW!

series of unfortunate events??? at the end of the day you are still healthy and your boat is intact. let me share with you a small anecdote that might make you feel a whole lot better about you situation.

last year: first day of the season.

we put the boat in the water and the belows start leakin like hell...we yank it out of the water to find that the lower unit of the motor had not been winterized properly....there was still water in the impeller...and it cracked the entire lower boot.

we take it to be repaired...my dad manages to find the most crooked boat repair shop you will ever come across. the guy does a shizzle job...and takes a long time to do it. we finally get the boat back...1/4 the way through the summer.

in fact...the mechanic did such a shizzle job replacing the lower boot...that it eff'd up the upper part of the engine...as well as destroying the new lower unit that he put on. we only had it in the water for a week.

we take it back to the mechanic...he obviously doesnt want to eat the cost of fixing he shotty workmanship...so he drags his ass...and we dont get the boat back till late july. (keep in mind...in canada summer= june-august/mid-sept)

boat goes in the water...week later...the motor develops a weird shake...and starts to make weird noises. 2 days later...the boat only drives in reverse...it just stalls whenever you try to put it in foward.

at this point my dad says F.U. to the mechanic...and goes somewhere else to have them do a repair job...then he was just gunna bill the original mechanic. while our boat is at the new mechanics shop...the old mechanic tells us that he can replace the engine because it was still under warranty. (250 hp merc...inboard/outboard)
....but obviously waiting for the warranty claim process takes months...so our new mechanic offered us a "loaner-motor" that he had built himself from spare parts (this new mechanic was great)...we thought we had finally caught a break.

not even a week after the loaner-motor went in...the old mechanic called my dad and said. "one of my 250hp mercs was stolen from my shop." ....could this get any crazier? my dad...or the new mechanic...had obviously not stolen this guys engine...but none the less he wanted to some over and look at its serial #s. jerk

The loaner-motor...although greatly appreciated...ran like shizzle. It stalled alot...and wasnt very un-reliable. so my dad started to get a tight ass about the boat. he wouldnt let me and my friends take it out...and he really didnt want to drive it anymore...anyways by this point in time its already late august and it is starting to get cold.

...december....bloody freakin december...that was when we got our new motor back from the warranty. i think i went out riding maybe 3 times that whole season behind my own boat.

now we have a brand-spanking new merc 250 sitting in our garage waiting to be put in....but the bottom line was that we shot the whole season all to hell. and that really sucks....especially when riding season is already so short to begin with.
