external burner

All you trekkies and tv addicts...

here is my sitch...i need an external burner for my laptop...however, i just happen to have a spare Mitsumi 52x burner available (meant for internal use). I am wondering if i can get an external casing for my internal burner that will allow me to connect USB 2.0. Does anybody have any suggestions? I looked at ebay...but seeing as how i dont really know what it is im looking for...i didnt come up with much. Any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks

Matt_French, I've had friends that have done that before, for some people it has worked excellent, and for others didn't work at all. Make sure you buy a name brand case, that may seem dumb, but it is impossible to find drivers for something you have never even heard of if you need those drivers (again, depends on the device and your computer). The cases are going to be a bit larger than what it would be if you had a regular external burner, but makes for a good option if you have an internal just lying around.
