I went to watch... The best trick landed in the boat comp was a 3-shuv that I can remember, the wakeboard comp was pretty good though. The temp was like 50 degrees, and it was raining, so I think that may have deterred some people from coming out... I know it's not too bad for some places, but I don't think a lot of south Texans like to come out in that weather. I drove by there on my way back to campus today and a lot of people were killing it out there, it was sunny and warm. It was a fun day, and I give mad props to the riders who just went w/out a wetsuit of any type (ie Savannah Barber)... It seemed pretty cold to me.

I was supposed to go and take pics and maybe do a writeup for this site and another local one but I was working in Seattle WA and the job went longer than expected so I wasn't able to get back in time to get out there.
The weather was ugly as hell...so I've been told. I don't think anyone that was in the results posts here. I ride with Jerry Lafferty often and I know Josh Steele from H town. Doesn't look like too many peeps showed up to skate. I can't believe a 3 shuv was the best trick. Hell I coulda placed!

Someone may have landed a bigspin, can't really remember, but I remember at least one person face planting when they went for one. The weather definitely wasn't nice though.

hhmmmmmmm cause im pretty sure that the best trick that the top 3 on the pro tour would land would be a 360 shuv (i know theres the occasoinal k-flip and big spin are landed but you get my point)

next time you go riding as soon as you get up land all your tricks and then you can talk to me about how a 3 shuv is weak.

Yeah, I can believe it. I can't do one. I was being a little sarcastic in my previous post. Only way I coulda placed in the top ten is if there weren't 10 skaters. I do ride with Lafferty often though. I would imagine that he will try to qualify. I haven't talked to him about it.
