Hey guys,

Wow finally I got to go riding today!!! it was a very hot 8C Rolling Eyes sunny out and no clouds in the sky to see... I couldn't wait to get out on the water because ive been siting at home alot lately because there is no snow and it has just been to cold to wakeboard... So i was really excited to get out and ride... we got to the river and the water was like glass, at first i was worried it was frozen over Laughing

Got out on the water and got all my gear on, finally got to use a dry suit Very Happy grabbed my new Kampus skate and jumped in.... Shocked Shocked Shocked at this point my body went into shock Laughing it was like jumping into ice water, it was so cold that I couldn't belive that there wasn't ice floating around... my head was throbing (dont know how to spell that?)

I rode my skate for about 10-15 minutes and I really like it... I really like the width compared to my old LF skates, my big feet fit perfectly on the board (no hang over) one thing I was having trouble getting used to was the amound of rocker, there isn't as much as my old LF skates... other than that I loved it..... at the end of my set I had a major head ake, couldn't feel the tips of my figners and the pawm of my hands... and I couldn't feel my feet so it was really hard doing shuvs Laughing

Also thanks dave the eclipse handle was amazing!!!! thank you so much Very Happy

now for the wakeboarders, the roam is soooooooo sick!!! it felt like I was just riding a big wakeskate... it didn't feel that lose at all, and it was really easy to edge into the wake and it poped great and the board would flex and absorbe the wake when you cased... and it was really fun doing snowboard style presses...

all and all there is no way im going riding untill the air temp gets into the double digits.... late march Laughing

Hey at least you got to ride!

We made plans to go and then my roomate bitched out at the last min cause his stupid damn gf "who i now officially hate" made him change his mind cause he dosent have insurance on his boat meanwhile my boat is sitting in AZ USELESS!

So im stoked for you it may of been cold... but the winter does offer endless flat water and no kooks out doing donuts on jet ski's.

EvanPark, odd question, but, what would happen if you didnt like the skate? Like, hated it and just couldnt adjust and liked your lf better.

Just wondered.

get a cooler of hot hot water and put it in your boat so when you are done riding you can put your feet and hands in there.

hahahahahaha

ok, so this post reminded me of that one guy that decided to fill the pontoons of his relative's pontoon boat with cement so the boat would make a bigger wake.........needless to say the boat sunk. poor, poor boat Laughing

this was posted on wb.com btw, so any of you guys that are anti-straps might miss the joke. not that i really care...if one person gets a laugh out of it i'll be happy. hell, if nobody gets the joke i'll still be happy, cuz electricsnow's post will still remind me of something funny. sa-weet

evanpark... the one place i'm really looking forward to visiting is vancouver. how are the coffee shops there? i guess they don't call it lil A-dam for nothin huh... my boss is from seatle, told me a lot of good places/sites to see. when my lil girl gets a little older and my wife will leave town for more than a weekend, that's where i want to take her.. runner's world had vancouver ranked as one of the world's greatest places to train...

you've inspired me to get off my azz and drop the MC in the water and dig out the dry suit... there's no way the lake i'm going to could be near as cold as what you just described... i'm going to wear all the ultra light weight north face under gear i got to stay warm...not much of a cold weather person!
