wow...i hope that is just s rumour...that sux. i have had some great memories at wasaga (and sunshine and the dard and the coors light tent...etc) and it would really blow to not have it at wasaga. This is pretty much exactly what happened in Bala...city council ruled that the benefits of wakestock were outnumbered by the negative side affects. This news really sucks....im going to go cry. |

EvanPark, have you ever been to "the pit" near newmarket ontario? I believe they used to hold national comps there? It might work...but maybe its too small and secluded away from a city. But it was basically on a giant camp ground...damn...im not finished crying yet...

My dear friends.........
This rumor was floating around, and I just could not bring myself to believe it. Last year was faw-keen insane!
Such rumors have been simmering. The only thing that I can confirm is that such talk was taking place. We’ve been having discussion with another Event, and they brought this rumor to our attention. However, this could have been just a ploy to sucker us into exhibiting.
Regardless, terrible news!!! Wasaga is super fun despite all of Ginos from Toronto. We could do without that………… _________________ Life's Kredo = "When the snake falls in love with the spagetti it's time to buy a new hat." & "I guess I need to whiskey up these corn flakes..and heroin up this Orange Juice." |

Bring it back to Bala!!!! Sure it was super cramped there, but it's walking distance from my cottage. That's what first got me hooked on wakeboarding in the first place. If they are finding a new location, it better be somewhere in Muskoka. Definitely one of the biggest scenes in Canada, so it's only fit to host the event. _________________ www.sattelyte.com

| it won't go back to Bala...why do you think it moved to Wasaga in the first place? They are gunna have to find a whole new location. But i agree....Muskoka makes sense. |

I think that it will end up in quebec, sbcevents will just find a new loactions and i bet it will be better. Like bala to wasaga was an awsome move by them, and now it will be even better. _________________ KGBcrew

Who is Philip Joyal? And why would a cable park be necessary for Wakestock? I can't imagine there being a very big scene in Quebec, but I'm just guessing, I really don't know. My bet is that it will stay in Ontario though _________________ www.sattelyte.com

| s34n, Philip is one of the better wakeskaters in Canada... he works for SBC and he runs a tour over in Quebec.... its not necessary for wakestock to have a cable park im just saying that quebec has lots of wakeboarding for example they have a cable park there... there is a big scene of there... some of the best young riders are there for example the derome family... ya I think it will stay in Ontario too im just saying |

umm Quebec just has some pretty good spots, and they do have a sick cabel park! Philip dosn't work for SBC but he is a good wakeskater. An SBC is in ontario. Hopefully will find out soon whats going down with wakestock. _________________ KGBcrew

| Matt Sacchitiello, the only iproblem with moving it out to quebec is that they will be starting all over again as if it is a new event. Many of the casual spectators that composed wakestocks audience for the past years will not make (or can not make) the effort to get to a quebec location. Even if it was right next to ottawa...ppl would hear quebec...and be like wtf??? im not driving 6 hours. So...if it was moved to quebec there would have to be alot of local intrest for it to be a logical choice. It would mean a whole new crowd and all new ppl. Personally i hope they keep it in northern ont...cause i dont think i will be able to make more than a 3 hour drive. |

I'm Telling yous guys. have it in the giant quary at the corner of HW 6 and 401 in Guelph. Easy as hell to get to. It is right off the 401. People could then party in d.town guelph. Guelph is loaded with drunk university students just ask M.French!
