Sooo my mom has a friend that has a 1998 Seadoo jetboat, im not sure the model or anything cuz its my mom and she didnt know much of anything...but she said it was either a 5 or 7 seater, and only 100 hours of run time (so basically like 1 summer of weekend usage) and nothings happened to it. anyways they are selling it for 3000 dollars, US dollars. This seeems to be one hell of a deal, everything i find online goes for like 10,000 or more. What do u think....we have a Seadoo wakeboard edtion gtx and a pontoon boat, which we arent getting rid of. Are these things good to skate behind? Should I telll her to get it just as an investment, seeing as we can resell it for more? _________________ JMU |

| sounds like a deal to me. ive ridden behind a sea-doo boat twice. very small wake, but i think they are more defined than a jetski. maybe you could put some weight in it or something to make it bigger. If anything, it will allow you to go ride with more people than a ski. |

Seven, I have a sea-doo X-20 and it is awesome. The wake is perfect for skating. I do use the phat sac and the tower helps out so much. Also you can get into some really calm water in those boats. Usually where its shallow its calm. I'd score it if I were you and throw a tower on that biatch gets some racks and speakers and put her to bed. _________________ dbanana wrote:

| i often thought that the sea-doo x-20 would not make that great of a wakeboard boat but would be quite decent for skating. about how big of a wake do you get with the sac and everything? and also, how is the speed controll? that was the worst part about riding behind the jet boat. |

at this point since my dad JUST bought that brand new seadoo gtx last spring, i feel bad getting this. But I am wondering if it is worth more than 3 grand, so if we get it, could we resell it for a decent profit? _________________ JMU |

Greg T,
I'm a hearin ya Billy! The speed control is meticulous, right you are. If I run her in deep water with the sac I'd say she's between 1-2' with a big fat DSL. The speed you get better at, and pick-ups are a breeze without worying about grinding up your buddy. Watchout for that rope though.
There are so many sandbars in my bay, nobody uses inboards. I've hit many a sandbar doing 40+ and even taken her over dry marsh at night...oops. It's nice having the prop inside the boat.
We did have some unusual engine problems, sometimes sea-doo and sometimes sea-don't. So it almost got nasty before they put a brand new engine in the second year. Now she-doo. _________________ dbanana wrote:

ive ridden behind alot of jetboats and the one with a single jet(prop) throw a better wake than the ones with 2...speed control is def a problem tho _________________ "it is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation." |
