You think Wakeboarding or skateboarding has more to do w/ wakeskating...

i think it matters which style u have. w2w or lip.

most of the tricks even wake to wake are mainly skateboarding tricks.eg, body varials, shuvits. I would have to say that wakeskating is more skateboarding influenced, but thats just my opinion, i think it kinda has the same style at times

so do i now that i think about it. Cause even wake to wake are usually tricks from skateboarding.

ya, i think rails are more wakeboard influenced. You see alot of ppl spinning on rails (like the picnic table at owc) and you can't spin or slide rails like the picnic table on a skateboard so...

yea, rails have to do w/ snowboarding cuz you dont have trucks and wheels obviously

it seems to me that brian grubb wakeskates with a wakeboarding inflenced style. reed, and hampson look like they've got a skateboarding influenced style and thomas looks like he is doing more of his own kinda style wakeboardy/skateboardy thing. but wakeskating has definitly got its own feel and looks really different for different riders.don't know if that made sense.it sorta did in my head

i think wakeboarding does cause without water or a boat u couldn't wakeskate

I personnally think it's more related to skateboarding because every move is kind of similar to skateboarding. If you do a grab, you can't just bend your knees and bring the board to you like any strapped board sport, you have to ollie the board and bend your knees and reach for the board. I also hope it's heading in that direction instead of wakeboarding even if where riding behind a boat
