they last forever, no delams or breaking, so yes the materials, also schmaltz isnt masssss producing them like hype and lf boards, so everythings gonna cost a bit more, but the awesomeness of the board surely makes up for it, more thamn makes up for it _________________ JMU |

i could write a five paragraph essay about why, but i'll nail it down to:
it was hard to get used to the bilevel for me having ridden a bunch of single deck boards quite a few times. i cant imagine what it would be like for a beginner.
it would most likely stunt the learning curve. im not sure, but i think it would be difficult to learn even ollies, not to mention shuvits for the first time on a bilevel.
im just making assumptions though, i dont really know for sure how a new wakeskater would do on the bilevel. |
My gf learned to ride on an Integrity. She was at the point where she could surface spin 720 and could do basic slides with to fakie transitions. Well she couldn't really ollie on the integ, she was starting to learn it. She tried the Bi-level for one quick pull and could do all of her tricks and she even managed to do a little ollie, biggest she ever done.
So yeah Bi level is going to be a bit different, but you can start right away on it as a beginner anyway.
As for me, I don't see my ollies being that bigger on the bilevel. Loved the way it spins on shuvs, lots of control. 360 shuv seemed much easier. But I haven't ridden it enough.
Integ / Bilevel will really be a style preference _________________

i guess i might be wrong about it being hard to learn on, but who knows its different for everyone.
another thing is it may spoil you when you go to ride a single. _________________ you must lose your mind to come to your senses. |

I'm thinking size/weight hasn't got shizzle to do with it...
Check this out:
Reed is the tallest/heaviest: 41
Hampson the smallest/lightest: 42
Horrell is in between: 40
No logic in it whatsoever unless one: the smaller/lighter you are, the bigger the board, which for me makes no sense
So it's all about riding pref. And honestly the difference in size is so small it doesn't matter imo... _________________

Thomas called me up because I wanted to switch to a 41, I told him I was 5-10 160 and he said stick with the 40, we're all riding the 40. _________________ dbanana wrote:
