|
|
I've decided to try out wakeskating, after snowboarding my whole life, wakeboarding, and longboarding. I found this board for pretty cheap:

Do you guys think it's a good buy for me? I would get it in 44, I am 6 foot 188 lbs. I'm not too worried if it's the best board for a beginner, but if it'll be okay to learn on and good to progress on. Also, do I need shoes? I've heard mixed opinions on this...
Thanks! |

if you're a skateboarder and you're looking to do similar tricks on the water i'd go with something a little smaller like in the 40'' range with griptape instead of foam
but if you're looking to just cruise around and some stuff here and there i'm sure that board is fine
either way i'd wear shoes if you're planning on doing anything besides carving _________________ http://www.stickandflick.com

agreed with Gnarly Dancer. go with a 40'', griptape, again tho its up to your preference. but i'd plan on getting hooked and wanting to try stuff and you'll wish you had around a 40'' with grip... |

great board, you will be happy with your purchase. Ive been riding mine for 2 years no problems. stick with the 39, you will like it in the long run. |

if all you got to choose from is the 39 or the 42, i would go with the 39. _________________ Peace through firepower!! |

Go all the way down to the 39? But I'm like 6 foot 188 lbs, and have never wakeskated before, should I still get 39 instead of the 42? |

It'd really probably be smarter to go with some sort of 40" wood concave, you'll like the ride so much better |
