I’m not a huge dude, but by the standard of many board sports, I am pretty large. There seem to be quite a few pro wakeskaters over 5-8 right now, but as things progress, gravity will favor smaller riders. I’m sorry, but you can’t argue with physics; dudes with a lower center of gravity take to board sports easier than larger dudes (but that is besides the point at hand).

I can’t speak for wakeskating, but after almost two decades on a snowboard, I feel comfortable riding anything! Will I use a 143 in a pipe comp? Hell no! I will, however, use one for jibbin’.

My initial point remains the same, as riders get better so will their skill and their ability to ride any board – well! To add to my point, as a rider does get better, he or she will require different boards for different styles of riding. As such, there will always be a place for an Integrity, a Bi-Level and perhaps even for dirty old Mr. Stubbs.

To answer electricsnow, “Do you think a huge dude will actually plane up and feel comfortable on your mr. stubbs?” If this “huge dude” is riding a w-skate for the first time, No! If he is an experienced rider who doesn’t want to ruin his new bi-level on the rusty old rail set-up in his back yard, then “YES” we will feel comfortable knowing that he is using the right board for the right situation. Will he be worried about planning up? Chances are he won’t care.

“NOT EVERY BOARD WILL WORK FOR EVERY RIDER” – This is true; however, I believe that a good rider will make any board work, and on the road to becoming good, he or she will have developed numerous favorites.

Peace!

In my opinion, a rider will care if they are riding on top of the water or not, especially if you consider your board (the stubbs) to be a jibbing board. How well are you really going to be able to ollie if you're sitting low and plowing a bunch of water? I personally don't see it working well if you want to pop onto a decent sized rail. But, those are just my issues...

gregg, a bilev doesnt pop because of the top layer. its a combination of both but mainly te fact the the bottom layer flexes. an integ wont flex therefore it will not work.

Maybe I'm a bit lost on this argument right now... Are we debating whether or not a big rider with big feet can't ride small boards? Kinda like how Aaron Reed won that ollie contest by like a foot while riding a 40" Cassette?

Bi-Level:
New Standard??? Perhaps Not!
Personal Preference??? Yes!

Does any one company or rider control the future of wakeskating???

jonnyUTAH the last part i agre totally

with wakeskating i believe that it will raise the bar for board designs, not saying that it will make all other companies go outta business but they will have to step it up. and for real, i honestly dont believe you can dispute the facts about the bi-lev until riding one.,

headhuntermx4, i see what you're saying, but i was told the top layer is the layer that flexs so when it straightens out some it pushes the bottom layer down, so if this is true the bottom woud be a great place for an integrity.

if it is the bottom that flexs could you show me where it says that?

gregg its not written down anywhere but i know from riding one and common physics that i figured out after ridding. i thought that it was the top layer b4 i rode it too b/c when u stand on it on flat ground thats all u notice flexxes, but in reallity its a combo of the two but mainly from wat ive seen the bottom

Reanalyzing both of my rides on the bi-level, what headhunter says sounds about rightizzle. But seriously, don't say anything bad or good about the bi-level until you have ridden it. It may not be the board to save all boards, but neither is any other board, including the integrity.

oh okay thanks for explaining that, and PIRATE, since the integrityis such a great board, and (if i was right before, which i guess im not) the physics of the bilevel seem to be working, why not a integrity bilevel?

Hey Pirate looks like you got some boys on your side. Headhuntermx4 I was just kidding with Pirate, we ride together just about everyday and he is always talking about this web site on the boat. I just had to give him a little sh*t, and from what I have read on this site it seems that all you guys do is talk sh*t so I must fit right in with all you gay poeple.

Enough of the sh*t talking. Here is my two cents.

I think the bi-level will be a little of an advantage with poping of the water because of the design, but what happens when it starts to warp or the wood starts to split or seperate because we have all seen wood boards do all of those things, and you know when that happens your board goes down hill in a hurry. Is it worth the 300 dollars for a wood board that is going to fall apart in a matter of a couple of months. I guess we will find out this season when everyone has one and then we can figure out if it is an advantage or just a waste of money.

B if you read this before 3:30 we are thinking of going riding today. Call me or I will get a hold you.
