Anybody on here ride in the Auburn/Lake Martin area? I'm gonna be at Auburn in the fall, and I'd like to continue to wakeskate, but I probably won't have access to a boat.. I'm not very good, the first time I ever got on a wakeskate was about a month ago, but I'd be willing to help out with gas or do whatever, if you don't mind a beginner tagging along haha.

btw, i posted this in the wrong forum earlier, i apologize. it has been fixed though.

If your ever in Montgomery we ride on the Alabama river evry weekend. It's only about an hour from ya. We are riding behind a old barefoot nautique with a tower.

It's hard to find any clean water on Martin, so we stay around the river most of the time.

a little known spot that's amazing is in tallasee. it's called yates lake. you go over the bridge, turn right at the light at the police station, and it's on the right a few miles down. really deep, really clean water, and usually you have it all to yourself. oh and great food at the chevron.

na it's the upper part. you turn in at the power plant. my buddy actually is the only house on the place with a mastercraft x-star(old style) in a lift. i think he's still at auburn. it's been a while but i will see if he's still around. disclaimer:he's goofy as can be. the only bad thing is that depending on the wind(not sure what direction) it's either glass or chop b/c it's like a corridor. and after it rains don't go for a couple days b/c of debris.

when i lived there we usually rode from about 1200. just depends on wind direction. sometimes we'd go later and stay til dark. landed my shuv on that lake. we never made out early. always partying or too lazy, but it's worth it for sure. you'll meet some odd folks at the chevron too.
