| I'm new to wakeskating. I've been wakeboarding for a couple years. I have no idea what board to get. I'm leaning a little towards the 11 LF Anthem. Anyone have any experience with them? Also, what do you guys think about foam vs. grip tape? There are going to be several other people (beginners) using this board as well. Thanks for the help. |

If you can afford to throw out a little extra dough for one I think you would do well with an 11 LF Impulse 42". It's in the middle size range, so it will be good for a variety of riders. It's a great mid-priced workhorse to have. I'd def choose this one over the Anthem, bc it has griptape not eva foam. Griptape FTW!!! EVA helps to dampen some of the vibration, but Griptape gives you much more control and skate feel. The only thing with griptape is that gripburn is inevitable. So if you are going to be worried about people getting scraped up then maybe stick with the Anthem. All I know is that Brian Grubb is one of the best wakeskaters around, and he recently switched to an all griptape board-(2011 Hyperlite Model G) after riding eva and eva/griptape boards forever. When I get a bad scrape from my board I just throw on one of those cheap black ankle sleeves from like Academy for a couple sets until it heals up so I don't keep scraping it open. Good luck man!!! _________________ Hang Loose Bro!

| yea i agree with splitphire maybe not on the board choice but id def get a concave and not just a flat deck, dont get me wrong flat decks are great to learn on but save yourself some dough and just buy a decent skate now so when you progress you wont need to rush out and get a freshy, good luck |

| I second Johnny's recommendation. Get a New (<That's the brand name)...well worth it. That anthem is a flat board i believe. |
