| I'm thinkin about buyin a used jet ski but the one Im lookin at is only 587cc's. Does anyone know if that's enough to pull up a wakeskater (175lbs.) or even on a dock start. If you have something similar, let me know. |

ive gotten up behind 9.9 horse inflatables, and jets are more efficient than props. _________________ you must lose your mind to come to your senses. |

satori*, jets are most certainly not more efficent than props,
and I think that jetski would struggle with pulling someone out, b/c my 750 standup wont do it, belive me we've tried, and I almost died in the process _________________ why dont you try playing hide and go Fvck yourself |

kento911, jets arent as good at high torque, low rpm and low horsepower. but at high rpms jets turn out more thrust than prop engines. in the situation of getting up, if you had a prop and a jet at low power and size, but same size and power the prop would probably do better (although the physics of steering makes jets more manageable in this instance the prop would turn out more thrust), but in a larger motor higher power (still control) situation, its arguable that the ski would have more thrust. not to mention the fact that prop boats with larger horsepower need to be larger boats.
and the simple physics of the matter shows that jets derive more thrust per hp in that props inevitably cavitate and waste power and torque to that slippage.
im pretty sure this information is correct and makes sense. but regardless it is a bit of a tossup. _________________ you must lose your mind to come to your senses. |

... satori blah blah blah, wah wah wah.
shut up.
just because you're always wrong jacob, doesn't mean you have to say i have a problem with being wrong. if i'm wrong and i know it, i'll admit it. fortunately or not, there hasn't been an instance in which you were right and i was wrong. CAUSE YOU'RE A FOOL.
burnt
seriously, if you want to fight. lets go. put up your dukes _________________ you must lose your mind to come to your senses. |

kento911,is on my profile
satori*, i have built jet boat and i have built prop boats and jets are definatly less efficient in almost every way, so throw all the physics u want because i am leaning on expierience and i am not going to argue with u on this one its proven fact ask any boat manufacturer. _________________ "look at me, look at me, Im a little crap talker on the internet and all the people I talk shizzle about could kill me if they met me on the street because Im a fourteen year old punk"
