would you mind posting the technique you used to create the top and bottom pieces to get the right contour and blend it with the core board?

Yeah it's just 1/8 pieces of birch (I think? Can't remember) I drew my shape on what was to be the bottom with the center lines all marked ( it's heaps easier to get the center before it's cut to shape). Then I epoxyed all the sheets of laminate together. I used some pieces of scrap board from work (im a cabinetmaker) and screwed them together around the middle of the board to get the big flat spot that I like. Now I just used another piece of scrap board and stood it up vertically directly in the center of the skate. I used ratchet straps (like used the hold a motorbike on a trailer) and took them around the whole setup and tightened to get the rocker ( I'll see if I cand draw a rough pic of this). Once it was dry I cut to the shape I had drawn to get the basic deck. For the channels on the bottom I measured like 70m (don't know what it is in inches, sorry I'm an Aussie) from the all important center line and epoxyed small pieces of ply on. Then just belt sanded it to blend.
I went a bit of a shortcut with th concave. It's just pieces or 15mm ply that I cut on angles and epoxyed them on and sanded them (so much quicker and easier).
Then I just painted it all white before I did my design then clear coated the shizzle out of it all.

Damn dog. That's good work. I like seeing people still making their own decks.

| So I took it for a ride and it rides pretty sweet, just that I made it too small for me, it's a 39 but I wanted a 42. Due to materials I made it smaller, guess I'll be doin another shortly
