Daniel Grant vs. Austin Pastura

Austin, no question, anyone who has seen MTM will agree.

Daniel still rips tho and is only 12, interesting to see where his riding will be in a few years.

yeah this isnt really a debate, austin is a nasty obstacle rider, and rides well on everything else

daniel is coming up , but right now he has a long way to go before he is even close to being on austins level

No doubt Daniel has amazing talent and kills it. But I think Austin has the maturity to bring him on top. Also, I think if you just take a bit to search some video's you will agree Austin is the top choice. Or wait for More than Machines.

I would like to see daniel ride something other than cable, expand his horizons a little bit. I bet he could kill it behind the winch. Austin kills everything!

i find that the decision of whom is a more talented wakeskater is not even thread worthy, but to merely depict the huge displacement of skill levels on wakeskate between the two wont take too much time.

Daniel Grant is a talented wakeskater i will make that clear right away, that is undoubtedly true he is a gifted rider when it comes to riding cable, but for the most part that is all i have seen him ride behind. He is skilled on obstacles and he has done some innovative things (darkslide...ehh) but he is creative none the less.

but....

When you trying to compare someone who is merely intermediately technical behind a cable up against a kid who has pushed the fabric of wakeskating on all different levels whether it be behind the winch, boat, ski, or cable. I could go on for hours bantering on with Austin's many accomplishments on a wakeskate. Austin is pushing the limits of obstacles OFF THE CABLE where rails IMO are much more difficult to progress on. Austin has progressed his flat water game to the climax of technicality behind ski with tricks along the lines of Toeside flats 3 flips and toeside in out back big flips (1st ever done on a wakeskate) without needing the aid of an upward towing cable to give him the extra pop. AND i could easily go on for hours of his MIRACULOUS switch game that few riders can even come close to. AND SERIOUSLY the kid has switch flipped, shuv late backfoot flipped various gaps, and back one's a gap so MONSTEROUS i couldnt FATHOM ollieing.

AUSTIN is the future of wakeskating, and i am estatic to see it being pushed in such a beautiful and creative direction.
