I don't know if there is a real point to this post other than sharing my excitement with people that I know are on a similar page as me. So here we go:
I just convinced my parents today that I will not be taking summer school this summer. This enables me to move 45 minutes from my Knoxville home to my Kingston lakehouse for the entirety of the summer.
When I say I have two homes, you are probably not picturing my lakehouse in Kingston as the nearly 200-year-old previous stop on the Underground Railroad that it is. It is basically a step above camping in an ancient plantation house that desparately needs work (we do have running water and window unit air-conditioning ha).
On the weekends when the lake sucks, I will travel back to Knoxville to work Friday and Saturday at the local liquor store--clearing enough money to winch and catch a few jet ski sets throughout the week.
As this relates to you guys.....come on down! I want guests. Bring your board; my friends and I will cover the jet ski, winch, and incredible rural scenery. This is a legitimate invite, and everyone on here is welcome.
I didn't write this post to be boastful...I think. I'm just so excited right now that things are looking up for me this summer. Last summer, I fractured my tibia in May right before my mom and I were supposed to take a dream wakeskate trip traveling around Florida, so this feels like redemption! |

| Congrats man I was lucky enough to live and work at my lakehouse last summer and plan to do it again. I had my friends down almost everyday and just got up and worked then went on the water. It is defidently ok to be excited about!! And I might be taking a trip up to knoxville this summer since my grandparents live up there so I might take that offer at some point. |
