It's already available for download. It's a 1.5Gb file with all the documents that he plans to release in the future, and it's so tightly encrypted that nobody will be able to crack the files open until Assange decides to release everything (supposedly). So at this point it doesnt really matter what happens to Assange because the info will leak out in due time. That's my understanding of it all.

edit: Seriously though, if you want to talk about an ignorantly brainwashed country, look no further than North Korea. They don't even have an economy. They use concentration camps and instill fear into those that doubt the "GREAT LEADER" in order to prosper.

I'm not suggesting World War III, but perhaps we should do the world a favor and take them out already. Wink

We should be applauding "Wikileaks" for standing up to "big government". We need people like this to bring accountability to governments, if we didn't the world would turn back into having no human rights.

And I don't live in the USA.

How does the US Govt get the last laugh if Assange leaks his info?

scott a, because the U.S. Govt. still has all the power that you and I don't have... they are still going to use fear mongering through various media outlets to put the vast majority of tax paying Americans to bed. Wink

The truth hurts, but it doesn't always set you free, unless you are Assange. haha

brassmonkey, its not worth fighting the kid, he would rather give in to and oppressive government by suffocation of knowledge but ignorance is bliss right? and he definitely is that. and he probably has oh soo much fun "destroying us with his mind" or whatever it is.

sidenote: i advise you all to read the book 1984 and a brave new world. there great books about stories and negative utopian societies kind of like a communism type deal.
