Your right about one thing, he's all about money and states this clearly in majority of his tracks. But can you really deny the man's musical ability? Some people may not see it as talent but his ability is endless. And what doyou mean he can't freestyle? He IS freestyle. When i type "freestyle" into my itunes search bar, 37 Lil Wayne freestyles pop up. And your last statement is partially true. He does come up with his own lyrics but he does not write any of them down. He comes up with everything verse by verse as he records it (majority of the time).
I get it, Lil Wayne is a highly disputed figure in society and a lot of people give him no credit for what he does simply because they do not repect it or him...understandable. Everyone has their opinions but the fact stands: Lil Wayne is a music making machine and majority of people love it.
I'm really glad he's free. I have no judgement of him for his crimes. Everyone's a criminal in some way, people make mistakes. He makes people happy doing what he does, therefor i commend him.

Hes not even playing chords or anything hes just got one finger down on a fret and hes slamming his pick against the strings erratically. I could teach anyone to play that exact riff in 2 mins or so. No1 can argue that. But yes, I guess you could say he plays, but no one can ever say hes talented musically. Maybe at attaining weapons but not music.
And like I said before. RECIDIVISM. Hes going to end up right back in jail. Look at all the stuff he "raps" about, act like hes not doing the same shizzle he was doing before he got put in the slammer, now.
Hes a trashy piece of crap that is brain washing our youth, I feel bad for anyone who truly enjoys the noise he produces.

Music is far too subjective to call any of it bad, because of the effort put into it... and everybody ultimately will have their own opinion on music. The artist, whether or not he is one... Lil Wayne makes millions of American dollars through the music industry. I'd still have to take the side of Alex and Logik, because I can not say that Wayne is as good as people make him out to be. He is talented, sure. He obviously has to have some kind of talent to be where he is, but I would prefer other musical outlets in life.
All I gotta say is..if it has 30 hits on here from 80 percent of the people disliking it..why has this drug on this far..reguardless of all the drama people talk about hating him..his music..etc...it dosnt really matter to him or any one on here. Sure some of you guys have good points and just plain stupid ones..but if your getting talked about from the mouth of our president..quoting " Maybe you wanna be cop or a teacher, or the next big rapper like lil wayne" to a bunch of kids..enough is said. in the end whatever we say on here is our opinion ( other than fact/stats) its a forum its what its for. to me, his music is terrible. im just dissapointed in the route mainstream music has taken altogether. and of course im a hater and im jealous hes making millions i wish i could strum my guitar and mumble and do what hes doing. but in the end his music has no emotional/musical/lyrical weight
