I ride one, its one of the few compression molded skates that I've ridden that feels like a wood skate. The original ones: http://www.wakeworld.com/products/index.php?l=product_detail&p=55882 are closer to 6 lbs but the ones like this http://www.wakeworld.com/products/index.php?l=product_detail&p=56724 are 7lbs and have better grip. Its on the light side but I dont consider it too light.

If it was a little bit wider and one pound heavier it would be pefect, too bad Gator thought a 43" Doyle was what everyone really wanted.

I personally thought it was too light of a skate, but I think I rode the original that was close to 6 pounds. It was a couple years ago. The grip on mine also came off within the first few sets.
