-LoGiK-, so tru
but these company are shooting the skate shops in the foot by not offering the skate shops themselves the opportunity to buy these closeouts and get them in the kids hands for the same price
they just sell them to the highest bigger
if they made a site for the shops to help them go on and see whats available, then the shops could help move them
then the company wins, the shop wins, and the kids win
but they obviously don't see it that way
ahh the almighty dollar _________________ https://vimeo.com/moontowerco |

POPTART, online shops don't get some special deals they just don't have to pay over head so they can mark up the shoes for only like $5 and still make profit
it's kind of sad that I have kids come into my store to try on shoes only to make sure they are the right size, then they go order them online for $10 cheaper...from some jerk who probably doesn't give 2 shits about skateboarding and only cares about how many $$$ he's making

-LoGiK-, i wish your shop was close to me or i would support it for sure!
unfortunately for me the closest things to "skate shops" near me is Zumiez or Sun and Ski Sports...neither chain that i want to give my money to _________________ if theres no future in it, at least theres a present worth remembering.

-LoGiK-, i thought dogfunk and whiskey were closeout leftovers sold to a website and just dumped
your right if we r talking about actionvillage and sites like that , but it just sucks that the company's that do make the shoes don't offer them to the shops at a lower price then the internet sites, bc if you think about it the kids that spend $$ at a shop, skate , and support their local scene
and there has to be a larger % of nonskaters that buy of the interwebs cheaper shoes--which dosent support the local skate scenes
if they made it where you go the deals by supporting the skaters and their scenes, wouldn't that spawn more skaters to sell shoes to? _________________ https://vimeo.com/moontowerco |

-LoGiK-, a lot of online shops have brick and mortar retail shops too.
For example, my local shop is http://tactics.com. _________________ The aforementioned postings and musings are the opinions of myself in their entirety and are not the opinions of wakeskating.com |

| i would support a local shop if the only core shop didn't get kicked out of the shopping center for having skaters outside skating all the time. thats what happens when michaels arts and crafts is your neighbor. |
