I have an 04 Sea Doo GTX Ltd and I haven't figured out what rope length I like yet.

I'm curious what rope lengths and speeds you guys are rocking behind your particular jet skis.

24 mph sounds fast to me but I'm a noob. 21-22 is what my wife pulls me at off of a 60' foot line. I have her drop it down to like 18 though when I'm trying to do switches and work on ollies.

usually you don't go that fast unless you're in a v-drive boat with 2700lbs of ballast in it riding 80'

I ride 75' 25mph (dash speed not gps) behind a seadoo.
I remember pulling Kyle Hyams behind a kawi jet ski at like 28-29 dash speed. He rides fast that's why his 3 shuv is so huge!

I ride at 80' 23GPS behind my 16' outboard.

The faster you go the harder the water will be so you can push down harder to get more pop and land without sinking to far or slowing down. It all really depends on how heavy you are and how much water you need to displace under you.
The farther back you are the softer the water is because there isn't as much turbulence from the boat so you need to increase speed to make up for it.

i personally don't believe you ride 25 or 26. go out w/ a gps and double check that.

whatever feels right for the individual PWC.. some the rope is tied off shorter, others a bit longer.... as for the speed... its whatever feels "right"

haha dude wats with the doubt??? sounds like a normal speed to me ay????

why would somebody make that up anyways???
everyones different man, i no a guy that rides like 18 behind his ski n wen i tow him it feels like i cud swim faster haha but just cause im used 2 a faster speed. so yer everyones different.

i also found that as the years go by, u slowly increase ur towing speed.

I was just saying that was the dash speed not the GPS speed. Sometimes the dash speed on the Kawi jet ski hits 30 mph but that doesn't mean I'm skating 30 mph.

Water temp can also effect the water density. On hot days the water is softer so you might speed up a bit and on cold days, say in the spring or fall in Minnesota I might slow it down because the water is harder.
