major ear infection. so sad to watch him suffer. hopefully he will heal soon.

Dude my dog had a few gnarly ones too, used to smell like hell!

our dogs look very similar... is that a Hungarian Vizsla?

yes vizsla. and his stink too. he's getting put under monday and they are going to clean them thoroughly and put him on some new meds.

mojo, ya i had the same dog Smile

a female!

we just put her to sleep though a few months ago. she had a stroke and could not control her bowels ne more Sad

she lived to 14 though, they are such great dogs, so fu<king smart. We never had to leash her she was so obedient.

mine will be 4 at the end of august. i got him from bradenton and he grew up in winter haven with me and has been on boats and hanging out with good dogs since i got him. at the river he stays off leash and comes when i call him every time. he's a codependent little bastard, but i love em. his name is mr mojo risin aka mojo.

he had pseudamonis. it's a really tough to fix ear infection they tell me. the vet switched one of the topical solutions and he ended up being allergic to that. then i went on vacation for about 8 days and he gets crazy stressed when i'm gone and his ears bothered him so much he scratched the hair off the outside and the inside is just rubbed raw, but mostly because of the infection more than scratching. he's on a painkiller and prednisone right now. he's still chillin, but just the saddest thing when he tries to shake his head but it hurts so badly he can't. dogs are a great companion. i do believe my dog would lay down his life to protect me given the opportunity. it's amazing to think about their cognisense.

mojo, seriously went though the same stuff!

What we started doing was putting a vinegar/rubbing alcohol combination in her ears after she got baths or went in the water to dry it out because otherwise it would get all black gross and stinky... big ears can be big problems sometimes so ya... Hopefull your vizsla gets well! Its really awesome to see some1 else who owns one, they are not a very popular dog even though i think they are one of the best breeds.

ya i only know maybe 4 others who have them. tampa bay actually has a huge club. they are an old breed who almost went out w/ the jews during the holocaust. (im jewish) probably the best man sized boat dog you could have. don't shed much and dry in 5-10 minutes. they just need A huge amount of play time. mojo's cool though. if i were "tired" or hungover i can sleep until as late as i want and he won't make me take him outside until im awake.

sorry about the confusion. put under as in anestasized so they can clean his ears out. he's healthy besides his ears.

In the year 2000.....

We ended up having to get him a bigger cone and he could barely walk around the house for a few weeks. It was pretty sad/hilarious at the same time.
