at your height and liking foam i'd honestly have to recommend grubb's hyperlite board. i think it's called the nomad or something this year. it comes in a 42 and 44

That was the first thin i thought of!!^^^

I ride a Catalyst 2.0 which is a fairly similar shape, if not the same but has a full grip top. I love it!! Feels really good and quality seems fair!

Do you have a price range? If you do that would be a great place to start. But most high end boards do not have an EVA top... But if you really want that, you should be able to find some kind of EVA for other boards.. ive heard of some somewere!

The higher end boards usually have grip tape because grip tape is a lot more... well grippy... Grubb is one of that few that seem to like EVA and even that board is half grip/half EVA... Foam is usually for begginers or the average family that goes out a few times a year. It has a lot less vibration and you could also ride without shoes. The Nomad seems perfect for you if you really want the foam and is also a fairly large board that will help with your size.

I do not know anything about bi levels so i cant answer that one, but i believe the main purpose is to generate a little more pop and be able to have more skate like top deck, but still have the bottom shape needed for edging and riding. Correct me if I am wrong people!

Also check this out, Its pretty much the same as the Nomad just different colors and minor changes. Still has the half grip/half eva and is a steal at $175

Also search on the classified section on here and see what you can find! There are some great deals.. dont know about shipping to Scotland though!
Good luck finding a board and welcome to the sport!

griptape is nice because you can actually move your feet to set up for a trick

foam also absorbs energy which affects things as opposed to grip
