that seems really depressing to take a fish that was in a free habitat (and that's what it knew) and move it to a tank. sorry dudes, I can't help it...

electricsnow, Do you eat meat? fish? shrimp? ever ride a horse? Go to the zoo or SeaWorld? Do you have leather in your home? Drink Milk, or eat cheese?

Before you judge anyone of us think about how you indirectly use animals for pleasure. None of the aquatic life i have bought or captured has ever suffered, i dont over stock my tank, i feed and clean regularly... if anything they have a better life now then in a polluted lake, estuary, or dirty commercial tank at a pet store. .

Woah, someone just got defensive. I didn't even make any statements based on your personal character. I just think it's depressing to take a free fish and put him in a tank. I never said anyone should go to hell for it.

And don't worry alexxx, I don't go to the zoo, seaworld or ride horses. And I think it's equally depressing the way animals can (in certain situations) be treated while they're bred for slaughter.

electricsnow, I wasnt attacking you, im sorry if it came off that way. I am all about protecting the animals and stuff, i hate how animals are breed to be slaughtered, but damn does chicken and veal taste great... lol.

I didnt get defensive, i just thought your comment was kind of out of place because im sure you use animals for luxury in some way weather it be food, clothes, ect. Sorry if i came off defensive, it was not my intention.

DMoneyy, -=AlexXx=-, 50 gal

nick, i have came face to face with some HUGE ones wayy down and they catch me off guard and scare the piss out of me sometimes.

-=AlexXx=-, Laughing nice "shrimpies" as dirk would say

electricsnow, lots of tropical reef fish don't move a few feet from where they were born their entire life. So putting them in a tank isn't much different than being in the wild. Only in a tank they don't have predators and they always have a supply of food.
