I've never used a wetsuit before. I want to get some lake and cable park action but the water is about 58 degrees. Can you guys help with some simple questions I have?

Are they easy to move around in?

Full sleeves and legs or long sleeve and half legs?

What temperature do you wear them up to?

What size? I'm 6ft 175lbs.

Thanks

Evan71, 6ft 175lbs. Am I a medium or large? lol

What about this in a size MT? It has good reviews and a pretty nice price.

i think chest and neck size are most important. go to the companys' site and check their sizing charts. they are pretty detailed.

I'm 6'3 or 6'4, 175lbs and I just purchased a Quiksilver 4/3 Syncro medium tall and it fits very well. I have almost abnormally long arms and legs, and it's pretty damn close to being perfect length all around. It's a little snug, but it doesn't restrict anything, but my junk. The ladies appreciate that though, so it's all good ha Crazy Eyes . The water temp here is around 60 degrees and it feels phenomenal in the suit. Oh yeah, check eBay because I got mine for $72 with shipping and it's practically brand new. Maybe my rant will help ya out, dudebro. Good luck.

ShutItDown, yea if your gonna spend the money I'd go with a 4/3 mm (thickness), for ultimate comfort because you can wear it in water temps ranging from the 40's to 60's. Also the booties and maybe even gloves are a real good idea. I wore an Oneill 4/3 with booties and gloves from Jan. - March when the water was high 40's through 50's. I slowly started wearing less and less, losing the gloves first, then the booties and finally the full suit. Now the water has just hit 70 and I'm still wearing a 3/2 spring but it probably isn't totally needed, I just don't like coldness at all.

I love this and its great in 30 degrees water, and 20's air...but having a propane heater helps and/or a big water jug with HOT water in it... helps keep the feet from going numb. You're a Large.

there's alot to be said for "being a man" and wearing less than you should. it tires out your muscles MUCH FASTER and plays with your mind which can lead to injury.

I'm similar to your size and wear a MT in O'Neill. My Psycho II 4/3 has been kicking for years, I would highly recommend one.

I just ordered a MT and L. Since it was free shipping I will only be out like $15 after I send the wrong one back. Worth it to find out what size I am.
