triggamike, And as awesome as that is, that is not how the healthcare system will be ran. So you can say goodbye to that. Everyone will have insurance, and everyone will be placed at different hospitals depending on your need, and you will be sent to a certain doctor, or given a list of doctors...The lines will back up. and it will be awesome, right? _________________ 10101 |

wakemitch, I've yet to see anyone freak out, and how could we die if we ALL have health care? Our busted up knees will just be in line behind people with the common cold... _________________ 10101 |

Classy, Thanks. Wasn't sure how to work the internet on that one. what's this "goggle" you speak of? Is it a website for swimmers? Do they know a lot about healthcare?
It's just tough finding facts instead of political bulljive. I was just asking for a quick summary. |

GnarShredd, There really is no quick summary of something like this...
The information is out there, if you dont care enough to look it up, why would I good find a link and send it to you?
EDIT
There is even a government website about Healthcare reform, it may be a good place to start...and it's not even hard to find. oddly enough... healthreform.gov
who would have thunked? _________________ 10101

GnarShredd, don't worry about searching out the facts, just speculate... that seems to be all anyone else is doing.
Classy, its funny that you keep comparing illnesses (mostly unavoidable) to blowing out your knee (very avoidable) and bitching that sick people will get treatment before you do so it will take longer for you to jump out there behind the boat and blow your knee out again. _________________

edrex, Yes, because when I have blown my knee out in the past, I dont go to the ER, or even the hospital, I go to MY doctor, where he can help me. Thus, I can avoid the line of people with the common cold. and be honest, I know I dont, do you go to the doctor for the common cold?
Not to mention...
I dont know if you have ever tor a legiment. But the week or two you wait to begin the proces of healing(no matter what it may be) where you are crutching around with a huge knee brace, is some of the most miserable times my life. I could imagine waiting months...(canadian horror stories) _________________ 10101 |

No, I haven't. In fact, I haven't seen my doctor in years. I do need to make an appointment soon for a physical though, so I'll let you know if it takes me months to get in and when I get there I am surrounded by people with the sniffles. _________________

edrex, go blow your knee out and see how you feel.
When i first heard the news, i had a vision of myself blowing out my knee again and realizing the hell i was about to have to go through. it literally terrifies me to think about going longer than 2 weeks f ucked up like that and then having to live with the added on life-long consequences of all the shi t in your knee healing before it's repaired.

cjbecker, that's sucks, but i was able to have my knee drained by MY doctor 2 days after each of my injuries allowing my knee to be ready for surgery the next day...unfortunately, i couldn't get in til 2 weeks later. Now it'll be 6+ months _________________ When it rains, it pours. |
