i want to get a winch.
does anyone have one to sell or no where i can get a one thats not crazy expensive? |

if you're buying one you have to be prepared to drop some serious cash. think about everything it entails: welding a frame, making a spool, fairlead, engine, engine mounting, chain, torq a verter, sprocket, frame material, bearings, shipping...if they still make that "new" winch i'd get one of those. i don't think i've heard anything bad about them. _________________ "I said take me to the sea, cause that is where I want to be. I had no mechanical experience whatsoever when I started mine, just did lots of reserach, still made a few mistakes, and ended up with a solid pull. Understandable if you don't really have tools or any access to them though.
Buying a brand new winch is going to end up more expensive than building one (even if you account having to pay for the little mistakes you'll make along the way). You might have some luck looking for a used one though. |
