tried Clint's board out the other day at the TXMC 2.0 cable. I've been used to riding a couple different wood concaves and an 08 SST. I rode his 40 and right away i could tell this was totally different than any other board i have ridden. the board is about 12 pounds maybe a little heavier and super buoyant. it is pretty slow and for ollies you can't really pre rock forward like with most boards or you might nose dive (i did the first time), you just ollie straight off the tail. it is super poppy though which has alot to blame on the mass size and buoyantcy i am sure. it's really just totally different than any board i have ever tried but deffinently give it a try if you have the chance. |

I think community boards are a rad idea.
I'm pretty sure Clint is going to be in the Austin/San Marcos area this week or weekend so hopefully some people will get a chance to ride one of his boards then. |

I've Ridden one of the Signature's and I will tell you this, it will defiantly last you longer than most bi-level's. It rides similar to a lot of bi-levels, but the rounded nose and tail seem to make it edge a little different. I rode one with the rails rounded and one with the rails sharp, I would defiantly leave them sharp, maybe round them a bit in the center and throw a fin on it. The kicktails are a lot mellower than most bi-levels which I liked, it made it feel a little more like a concave and one solid board. I'm sure that the foam in between the decks has some to do with it too. It flips very consistently and is very predictable!
Overall I would say if your in the market to buy a bi-level that Signature Wakeskates are a sturdy bi-level with the feel similar to a concave, and are real predictable. But they edge a little wierd, however I think a fin would help.
Sorry if I rambled... |

I love the way these look. I honestly think it's awesome and totally legitimate! If someone outside of our sport saw this, it would be just as easy to comprehend what was going on.
I think if they saw Ben Horan, Andrew Pastura, or Nick Taylor riding they would have just as good of a chance of realizing what is going on...yeah!
