i have a ghetto spool now. its really messed up and all the bolts are bent in so on so on. hah so i want a new spool now and i really dont know what the best way to go is. releasable spools would be the best but i just need one in general now. so post a picture of your spool and how much it cost. an tell me how you did it.

A spool like this is easy to make if you know or find someone with the right equipment/tools/machines.

The spool walls are made of 5 mm steel (lasercut). The hub is afterwards welded on to it.(€ 60,- )

Other parts I used:

- 6x steel axle (180 mm x 20 mm) with 8 mm thread. (€ 25,- )
- 2 bearings for a 25 mm axle. (€ 25,- )
- Pin, bolts and washers (€ 10,- )

Total costs: € 120,- (about $ 175,- )
