I know we always tend to get the update from ws.com's coverage (and most stuff gets leaked here early) but if anyone's going to Surf Expo this week post the latest and greatest news/pics here. This is the first time I haven't gone in about 5 years and I'm itchin to see some of the new 2010 gear.

I will be at expo but I think the other ws crew is not going to make it this season. I will be looking at product at expo but I will try and get what I can. I really have to go for buying so I am not sure how much time I will have for all the other stuff..

You would need a paycheck stubb or a business card with your name and information on it. Not sure if they check the type of retail business it is but if it is anywhere close to clothing retail you would probably be able to get in. Traffic will be really slow this year so I bet it will not be as hard to get in as years past. You probably cannot register online any longer but you can check the surf expo website.

EJazzle, Check the surf expo website for the best information (it changes year to year sometimes) and follow the requirements exactly. Your best bet is to have the store owner (maybe just manager if rules have changed this year) register you by phone. They will tell you what you need to bring with you for registration sign-in. That way you will be signed in for sure if you provide exactly what they ask.

I've been listed as the store manager for a shop that I bought for (and attended the show twice a year) for 5 years and still could not legitimately get a friend in to the show because i was no the store owner so I'm just saying that as a heads up. flixmaster makes a good point though that they may be lenient since there will hardly be anyone there this year.

flixmaster, Why would it be any slower. Seeing that Expo said they had over 8,000 buyers register and over 700 new buyers this year.

YaBro, the time of the year (pushing the event ahead by a month) and holding it thursday through saturday are two reasons I can think of. I was at a demo at a different shop in the state and those guys were not making it to the expo this year. Then we were talking with a sales rep and he was having to do some convincing to some of his accounts as well, i.e. suggesting they just get a cheap flight and take a 1 day trip to get all of their paper work and then split.

electricsnow, well im not saying they are not hurting just saying thier still gonna be busy as hell. There only 2 wakeskate company booths..... and only 65% of the wakeboard industry returned this year.

Liquid Force thought about not even going.
