|
|
Ever sense I got my winch the hunt has been on for spots. Too my dissatisfaction my efforts have only been able to produce a little private pond that dried up long ago.
I had this spot that I saw last year in mind but it takes everything for the conditions to be right. It was a road gap and I've been scoping it out the last few weeks. The water gets low in my lake and they have this road that appears and that cuts off a little pond on the lake. Well last week when I went out the road wasn't even out of the water.. today I go back and this thing is HUGE. I missed my opportunity I'm thinking. What do you guys think? Little launch ramp?
Needless to say I'm bummed.
left to right is the lake... gap.. pond.
this is from the other side and someone parked right there so I could show you how big the actual road is.
This is the bank of the lake.. about 2-3 feet down
This is the bank of the pond.. about 2 feet

Check out the video Free4All. They had a few gaps like that in that video.
Definitely doable! _________________ Vive La Jeffe! - JLA is snowboarding!

Macthc, ACID Canal FTW!
Too bad they took out Seltzer Dam. That might have been a sick winch spot, well except for all the tweakers and homeless. |

RollinTrees, the ACID Canal fills up when they put the diversion dam in at Lake Redding Park every spring. It is used for irrigation of farms etc. My dream is to wakeskate the canal in the city hall area (pulled by a motorcycle), get pictures or footy of the mayhem, and then split on the bike before the cops can drop hammers.
Now you know my idea. I dare you... |

wakeskatingrulezd00d, but its a road that people go across so building a rail going across just wont work.
Steven M, I havent checked but I think the banks in the pond are pretty steep like V but it could work. |
