the xbox live friends list was out far before halo 2. xbox live came out in november 2002, it has always had a friends list and invite system. i have no idea where you get that halo 2 added a friends list system to xbox live 2 years after xbox lives intial launch.

also, where do you get that it revolutionized online console gaming? there's been 16 player online games way before halo 2. and i said in regards to the series, not in gaming in general.

skimboarder, Halo 2 introduced the friends list and party system to what it is now, in the 360.

Before halo 2, all parties were dedicated server based, and when the host leaves, the server shuts down. Where in Halo 2, host would leave and it would re configure.

Basically, the game system revolutionized xbox live in general.

Not to mention Halo 2 was very competitive and fun.

i see what you're saying now. i agree when it came out it was fun and competitive i just prefer halo 3 over it. most of all though, i'd choose halo:ce. did you ever play it on xbconnect back before xbox live was released?

skimboarder, Yes, XBC and Halo was very fun, except off-host, when you had to lead your shots a mile.

My Live has been down for a while but I recently got it back up and running. I mostly play Left 4 Dead but am thinking about picking up a copy of Halo 3 for when I just need a quick fix.

burn0n3@420, Haha, I haven't played Halo in so long and I've never been that good at it. I'd just like to have it so I can hop in and out of fairly short games. Left 4 Dead games are a serious time commitment. I'm down to play though once I convince myself to buy it (odds are good I'll just try to find a cheap used copy online tonight).

As for riding, whenever you want to hit a beach or something I'm down. I get out of work at 6 at the latest every week day and live in North St. Pete so I can be pretty much anywhere in Tampa, Clearwater, and St. Pete in a reasonable amount of time. I'm usually free on the weekends too. Just holla.

also, is anyone playing 1 vs. 100 live? It's pretty sweet if you're a random trivia fan. and it's free.

Just got teh Halo 3! (yeah, i'm a little slow on the uptake, so what, I only paid $15 and shipping for it)

I haven't played in a year but I've been holding my own fairly well. Add meh!
