NCD, Well ats got concave, so it should be a little different! i personaly like concaves more than flats, but its personal preferance! And expect that foam to have a very short life, but just throw some grip tape on there and your GOOOD! |

| So I was just looking at a weight chart right now and I'm pretty sure I got too big of a board. :/ I got the 113 and I weigh 145 and I am 6' tall. I think I should have got the 108. |

I don't really know. I'm new to this. I didn't know that the foam came off so easily. Plus my local shop has mostly foam. There boards they have with grip tape are a little out of my price range at the moment. Is that board too big for me though, or will I be alright? |

next time the foam comes off, just regrip it with grip tape. go down to your local skate shop and get a sheet or two.
i dont know whats under neath the foam, i would imagine its flat, BUT i dont know. |

Yep it looks flat to me. Just the foam is concaved. What do you think about the size of the board though for my height and weight? |

| I could easily go exchange my 113 for a 108. If that would be better for my height and weight? |

Thats a good board for beginners, but when you progress your going to want a better board. There are alot of different companies out there to choose from so search around and welcome to the site _________________ ..........Oak.......... |

| NCD, Well if its that easy, it might be a good idea, but I wouldnt really worry about it. You are fairly tall so it wont be horiible, but you might be more comfortable on the 108! |

Okay, so after I went out for my first time with the new board (Hyperlite Phriction 113CM) I got up fairly easily on it. When I was finished I looked at the bottom of my board and it looked absolutely awful! The paint and wood was chipping all over the bottom of the board. I did a little research and found out that it happens a little bit at times. This was really bad though and it was after riding it only once, so once again I went back to my local watersports store and I talked to a man there. He told me it shouldn't have been that bad after only riding it once and recommended that I try something different. He did say the board was a little big for me but nothing too serious. Anyways, I ended up buying a Liquid Force Anthem (40). Yes I know it's another foam board. I didn't have a whole lot of options though and I'm sort of on a tight budget. If the foam comes off again I think I'll just put some grip on it and use it like that. The foam on it seems a lot better then the foam that was on the Faction though, much thicker. It's also a flat board like the Faction I had but the foam has concave. Hopefully this one holds up better for me! I don't get to try it for another 2 weeks though. I just got back from my lake cottage. |
