I just look at the driver and give a them a quick head nod when the rope is tight, they know what it means. When I was younger and we were first learning how to wakeboard we would always say something like "Hit it!".

i usally slap the rope against the water like an old western wagon driver and say Yah! Yah! as if i was encouraging my horses to pick up speed

or ill sing some random lyrics

like

haha kyle use to work at outback so whenever he was serving he would have to yell corner or something to let people around the corner that he was coming by... if not they might run into someone carrying a shitload of food... anyway he got used to saying it so much that he would slip up and start yelling corner instead of go, or ready lol

so now we just always yell corner
