-=AlexXx=-, you have been newb'ing yourself a lot lately on the mac comments. my 3 year old powerbook runs faster than almost any new windows-based laptop. and quicktime is awesome....on that note. I don't know if it was resolved or mentioned but when it comes to vimeo on mac. Go to what you want to watch in safari. Click play/pause just to get it buffering. Then window and show activity. From there you should see the activity from the buffer video, normally the biggest volume going on like > 20mb. Double-click that while its downloading and you will get the originally uploaded video in its original format without the embed flash player that eats memory and processor performance. If its a .mov you will have the vid show up in the safari browser just like any other quicktime vid. If its something else not supported by the browser, like .flv, it will download to your default download folder. But then you can watch it in vlc or whatever and loose that skipping BS!

side note for -=AlexXx=-, New skates might be the greatest thing EVER!!! I have never been so consistent. its like you try a trick, don't like how it felt, so you try another and you land the trick 3 more times till its just begging for mercy. haven't figured out fs flips on her yet, don't know if its the fins i normally don't rock or what but even when you fall i still feel so controlled and know exactly what to correct. I LOVE <3 LUB my NEW!!!

granted vista's os is alot better than xp it's no where near as intelligent as a mac os. and i dont have one so i can't attest to the issues. pc's are not as smart as macs. i've never had to restart my macbook pro, but when i turn it on it is totally loaded before any pc in the world.

JamesBoardr, the complaint about vimeo on mac was in regards to using Firefox. I don't think anyone was having issues using Safari.

mojo, vista is xp...just with a layer of bullsht. Same deal that went on with windows 98 and ME...just an xtra layer of bullsht.

I dont like vista...not a big fan of macs...honestly, I dnt give a rats ass what kind of computer any of you use or perfer...i like windows better and it can handle and support games. which is what i do. Im sure macs have there pros and cons and windows has thiers too. just wait till all these new viruses come out for macs...its gunna be exciting to watch what apple does.

And honestly i just like starting these lil fights about mac and pc, because everyone gets soooo fired up about it, i do it half cuz i dislike mac, and half cuz i love seeing all your mac cultists freak out about how "Awesome" and "easy", and how its always a "user error", macs are. i love it.

I know macs are good for some things, but for me i dont like them, they always have problems, user error it may be... its not as easy to use as XP. Ive never had a "user error" with any windows OS. I cant wait for apple viruses... ima go research and try to spread one! Smile

scott a, vimeo/flash isn't just a firefox issue for some. I have problem with it in safari sometimes as well.
ScottyB, vista is xp. xp is nt. os 10.4 is 10.3.
-=AlexXx=-, mad cop out. and its not that there aren't virus written for unix because there are for sure...its that people that enjoy spreading viruses and writing them like to have better results/more victims. these people use either unix or linux because you don't write fat32 based viruses on fat32 computers. you write them on a computer that can't be infected. its not that viruses just come out, they aren't airborn or anything, they have to be written and so far thats not happening so much from our window's users. so go ahead and start spreading...mac users are already decades ahead of you (ps. i'm know 'cultist' and use my pc just as much...also, in your case it probably is "user error" Laughing

)
