To the best of my understanding the reason the WWA requires you to wear a helmet is because of their insurance policy.
Their insurance policy states that all riders must be wearing a helmet in competition... Skateboarding and snowboarding don't have these types of issues because they don't carry insurance for the riders. If a rider blows a knee or bashes his head open it's their responsibility, health insurance or not.
The WWA however caries insurance for all of their contests, so by paying the fees to be part of the WWA and the contest fees you are also paying towards the insurance for these events and the riders. _________________ arson-wake.com |

it seems kinda silly, like if you look at any other professional sport like baseball or hockey or w/e and they are professional athetes and their helmets fall off then the play doesnt stop, they continue....
i do however understand that its a liability or w/e

no different than McNabb not knowing the rules of OT in foosball. lol If you're a pro athlete, you should know the rules of how things go. Even in most wakeboarding videos you see them wear helmets when hitting rails. Hell, I've seen helmets with no life jackets... _________________ Fake it till you make it.

| i dont think pros should have to wear helmets in a contest. they are riding in pro level contests for a reason, they know the risks. |
