I'm a huge movie fan and this thread is mostly because I'm curious about movies that maybe I've missed. One that I was really skeptical of was Walk Hard with John C. Reily. I was expecting it to be one of the dumbest movies ever but me being bored + free Netflix instant watch got me to take a look.

It was surprisingly funny. Granted, the overall theme is 'lets watch John C be goofy' but the music and stuff is great, as well as all of the parodies of bands/music over time. I'm big on music too and this was right up my alley. (If you're a Bob Dylan fan check out the song 'royal jelly' from the Walk Hard soundtrack to see what I mean)

So, what do the rest of you have?

GnarShredd, I am so with you man, Walk Hard was hilarious. The Beatles scene and all the drug stigmas/parodies almost made me shizzle my pants. Other than that, I am a huge fan of Requiem for A Dream, Pan's Labyrinth, Yellow Submarine, etc. Just a bunch of really eclectic movies.

Transpotting is a great movie that shows the life of heroin addicts trying to get clean and going through withdraws; little note they actually filmed that in scotland or something so they could actually inject themselves with water based liquid that was made to look like herion

Trainspotting and Requiem for a Dream are both great movies

The St on ed Age <---- Don't allow the word S.T.O.N.E.D.
Where the Buffalo Roam
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
A Clockwork Orange
Another Day in Paradise
Easy Rider

I'm kind of having a mental block so that's all I got for now Wink

Anyone else seen Gummo?

It's pretty weird, and pointless as hell, I just want to know if I'm the only one who has seen it.
