wakeskating smell

this is gonna be a weird topic but here it goes.......

there is a commerical(i think it is for deoderant) that says smell is the sense most tied to a person's memory. so what smell make you think of wakeskating the most. for me its the smell of neoprene.

i know what one your talking about, im pretty sure it says something stupid like sent is the strongest sent tied to memory, im not sure what it says but im pretty sure it wasnt right...anyway i cant think of a smell but ill say it reminds me of the felling you get after you get a nose full of water

yup. i vote for exhaust smell. sometimes i get a whiff of old car exhaust that smells like boat exhaust, and im like mmmmmm exhaaaaust...must...ride...must...ride...I HATE WALKING TO SCHOOL!!!

and i also vote that this isnt exactly a weird topic. actually a really cool one because it hasnt been brought up 100 times over...

i would say that some lakes have a certain smell and if i go to one that smells like another lake ive riden on i remember that day of riding and when ever i eat salty food i thnk of riding in salt water. great topic tho!

its the worst feeling when you havent riden in awhile, then you smell that smell and then you realize you cant go and REALLY want to go. and it happend to me this moring and im goin nuts

my lake's own smell....a combination of boat exhaust, dead fish and all other manner of gross things you cant imagine you'd possibly be swimming in.....example: they've found 20+ dead bodies in my lake in the past 5 years....

I'm a very clean person but everything I use for wakeskating has that nice little smell of mildew or putrefaction.

wakeskating: the smell of the delta, ewwww sick. and the smell of my shoes if i forget to wash the nasty delta water out of them.

surfing: the taste of the ocean water, and sex wax

snowboarding: the smell of this high spf chap stick i bought at big 5 a long time ago.

skateboarding: smell of melting wax on a ledge or rail.

mountain biking: the smell of this creek where i ride single track, and the smell of my gloves.

wakeboarding: the smell of newt juice.

mildewy vest, skate, shoes, and shorts in a bag, on a side note the smell of new bindings really reminds me of wakeboarding, and X-mas, b/c I usually get new bindings around X-mas time

i dont know what it is, but there is a distinct smell about my canal when we go riding. and it doesnt smell that way when we arent riding. and theres a certain feeling of going riding connotated by the smell, anyone else get a feeling when they smell the smell?
