| Did anyone else watch this. I thought Kerry spoke well but did anyone catch any points that he made about anything he would do during his term if he were elected? I wish Kerry would stop stealing Bush's stuff like "I'm George Bush and I approved this message" and closing his speach with "God bless America" those were things bush was doing before Kerry was even the opponent. Did anyone else catch how Kerry said that he was for and against the war in Iraq in the same debate.? |

| As usual Kerry stated he is right everyone else is wrong he has a plan but he can't tell you what it is. He has proven all he is is a professional politician that will agree with you on anything if you give him your vote. |

you know it's a chocie between two shiznackle options, and the more Kerry talks the more he just shows he is a slimey career politician, I honestly respect bush more, at least he sticks to his guns, Kerry would bang his own mother if he thought it would get him support with more voters. but it's like who do I hate the least for president, sad state of affairs if you ask me, someone needs to revive the bull moose party, the only semi successful 3rd party in the history of the us. _________________ why dont you try playing hide and go Fvck yourself |

The Pavement 3.6, presidents and presidential candidates and most government officials have used the line "god bless america" since it was coined, and have curtailed political advertisements with "i'm so and so and i approve this message" since these messages were used. i assure you these idioms were not george bush's for the taking.
also, kerry was for the war, at first. but changed his mind, admitting it was a mistake. this is something bush has yet to do. i for one find it admirable when one admits one's mistakes rather than bathing in their denial.
i'm also fairly sure he adressed that he had plans to make up for bush's follies. as you and jd obviously did'nt notice, you can not efficiently explain an entire plan for what to do in iraq, or how to fix healthcare and tax and everything about the economy that bush screwed up in a presidential debate in which time is regulated to under 2 minutes on average. but he did adress the key points and concepts of his plans.
i dont know if kerry will be that great of president, and being the raging cynic i am, i havent high hopes for anyone. but im fairly sure he could do a better job than bush, which isnt saying much.
and parky, if that was made in ms paint, there is an option to make your text box background transparent. _________________ you must lose your mind to come to your senses. |

Honestly...the only thing Kerry has going for him...is the fact that he is not Bush!
And a lot of people seem to have beef with Bush for one reason or another.
However, in all likely-hood Bush will be re-elected. Most of his supporters are baby-boomers...and that demographic makes up the majority of the "eligible" voting population.
I don't think Kerry has got what it takes...but hey...I'm just Canadian...what do I know! |

Santori,
Thank god you cannot vote yet maybe you will get a little wiser in the next few years! Bush has nothing to apologize for as he made a decision to protect this country and whether you like it or not you are safer because of it.
You just proved my whole point that Kerry apeals to the lazy american that believes what some slick politician tells him on the TV and does not respect the fact that fighting our enemies is a dirty buisness and one that requires a steadfast position and objective.
If you think Kerry is a great leader take a look at his congressional record (it's on the internet) and wonder why someone that is payed to show up and vote fails to show up most of the time. You want that for a president? We will be hunting for terrorists in the Rocky mountains instead of Iraq and Afghanistan! |

Matt_French, well your pretty on point for a canadian,
jd, satori*, is a pretty smart kid for his age, he's just as entitled to an opinion as you are, and remember politics and religion always gaurantee a dissagreement,
however, I do agree with you on these statements
...does not respect the fact that fighting our enemies is a dirty buisness and one that requires a steadfast position and objective.
...wonder why someone that is payed to show up and vote fails to show up most of the time...? _________________ why dont you try playing hide and go Fvck yourself

jd, heck yeah im not sure that i would want to stay up all night worrying about coming into my neighborhood and holding mass executions.
I was looking at the polls and Bush is ahead by 8 points. Thank God that alot of Americans were not stupid enough to be fooled by the loop of answers that Kerry was throwing out. I think they were looking for Kerry to make some points on how he would make America but he didn't deliver did he? Hopefully America's ability to get the point that there is no key actions that he has outlined until the election.
SANTORI, they have not always used god bless america as the closing line for there speaches and i doubt that they ended there commercials with I ________ approved this message it seems to be a new political fad... look at the gore 2000 commercials he didnt use it...

pavement,
It is new since the 527 group thing started it is like a marker to ensure rogue political groups are not making a statement for the politician. I can explain more later but am busy right now. |

jd, maybe i will get a little bit wiser, and maybe it is a good thing i cant vote. and maybe i am a little bit safer because of some of bush's decisions. and maybe kerry is just a slick politician who wants your vote at all costs so he can get elected to play out his agenda. and maybe it is right to stay steadfast to an objective that is wrong. and maybe its incorrect to admit your mistakes. and maybe your illusions are truly right to you, but maybe- just maybe, youre wrong.
i dont think kerry is or will be a great leader, but i refuse to reject the evidence that we arent going to be better off with bush.
and as for searching for terrorists in the rockies:
at least we'd be hunting terrorists! ill give you a hint; its not just oil and its not terrorists (or potential threats to america) that bush is looking for in iraq.
but what do i know? of course you can be right in your own mind. and of course im probably not entirely correct, and can admit that. like ive said before, trust, but verify.

The Pavement 3.6, all official ads for the presidents' campaign have an endorsement like that, bush didnt invent it, and it doesnt matter anyway, because its nothing special, and why does it matter if kerry stole it, it's trivial. _________________ you must lose your mind to come to your senses. |

satori*, I think you took that rather well... seriously, Im not being sarcastic, I probably woulda been alittle more pissy than that... truth is that politics is a game of "views" and "spins" both sides have "views" and evidence to back them up, and they all "spin" their opponents mistakes to their advantage while glossing over their own misgivings and personal agendas so really it's like trying to argue Bhuddism over Judaism or Catholicism, it's really all opinion at this point every politician is just as fizzle up as every other politician, however I will give honorable mention to Jesse Ventura, and Arnold S. b/c I think they are better than the average... _________________ why dont you try playing hide and go Fvck yourself |

| satori*, okay I'll drop it. What are we looking for in Iraq? WMD? We found thousands of barrels of mustard gas and several skuds I'm sure we have found more than that but im to lazy to do anymore research. |
