I was talking to the 8 year-old daughter of a friend of
mine, and she said she wanted to be President some day. Both of her
parents are liberal Democrats so I asked her, "If you were President
what's the first thing you would do?"
She replied, "I'd give food and houses to the
homeless people."
"Wow - what a wonderful goal," I told her.
"But you don't have to wait until you're President.
You can come over to my house and mow the grass,
pull weeds, and rake my yard, and I'll pay you $50.
Then I'll take you over to the grocery store where the
homeless guy hangs out, and you can give
him the $50 to use toward food or a new house."
She thought that over for a few seconds and with perfect 8
year old logic said, "Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and
do the work himself, and you can just pay him the $50?"
And I said, "Welcome to the Republican Party."

NaRC-P rider, I love it.
This is why I always ask a homeless dude for a dollar, after i tell them I don't have any money. I worked my ass off for that shizzle.
That and whenever i see some Baptist church ppl standing in the intersection with buckets, i ask them if I can grab a handful of change.
But i always give to the firemen when they do it.
