triggamike, Okay, cops have it difficult, but you and I both know that in the world that we live in, stereotypes are everywhere, and it's not fair. Life isn't fair. It's just the way it is.

Just like it's not fair that edrex called me out for no reason other than I said I hated cops, which is strictly an opinion of mine.

im not a fan of cops.... when my car got stolen the pigs didnt show up for hours and then was like "we never catch guys like this... usually we will find your car in a month in some field completely stripped" he didnt even care....

yet when im winching on public land the cops show up within 30 min to say its too much of a liability and get the fvck out....

put a uniform on someone and give them some authority they tend to go overboard

And another thing I noticed. Why are all the white cops in black neighborhoods? And vice versa...

It is because they will never favor the opposite race and always give you the worst.

For example, when I was just 16 years old, recently started getting into smoking, and had only done it a handful of times. I had never possessed any before, it was always just who ever had it.

This night, I made the mistake of smoking w/ my friend, then driving. Hit a curb, he got out, ran away...

Long story short, a cop found me and my broke ass car and he was black. This was in Bay Hill. One of the whitest neighborhoods in all of Orlando. He basically lied to my face too. Told me that if I told the truth he'd let my parents pick me up, so I told him the truth, and he took me downtown. All I had was like a gram. Anybody that has been caught by cops before w/ that little could tell you that they would either take it and let you go, or just let you go. But no.... due process I had.

Gotta love random drug testing your entire senior year in high school. Wink

Not to mention my car got towed and the police impound robbed my shizzle.

Plain and simple, ever since that day I have resented cops and there isn't a thing anybody can say to deviate my opinion.

And to clear things up, I am not blaming cops for my stupid mistakes. And I am not racist, at all.

Edit: Jeffknox, cops just don't care dude. They only do what helps them make money. If it means they have to go above and beyond the normal extent of their job, you can forget about it.

There are exceptions though, like previously stated in this thread, but very rare.

gporter, in tampa they give you a ticket for possession and you end up paying like 250 in court costs thats it! unless your a baller and carrying to much Laughing

ZackFL, Yea, exactly. I should have gotten a ticket, but instead I had to do 50 hours of community service, countless jury duties, attend narcotics anonymous meetings (keep in mind these were all crack addicts etc... at this meeting and I had just gotten arrested for possession), random drug testing, and just overall no trust from my parents my entire senior year in high school. Which led to lots of video games....

And just being put in handcuffs, put in the back of a cop car, and having to go through the system itself was the most demeaning feeling of my life. I couldn't think of a lower point in my life.

It was one of those situations, where you imagine the worse, and the worse happens. That situation has happened just once in my entire life.

He almost gave me a DUI even, but I had the keys in my lap. I'm not that stupid. Wink

gporter, yaa the drug tests that they charge you for everytime to take but you MUST take them. It's all bullshvt just them sucking the money and soul out of us... like i said FVCK THE POPO fo show.

I've had bad situaions with cops when I had done nothing wrong. Story:

After school feb of freshmen year, my friends and I got into my car and started to drive away. Now in ND, we get ice on the roads/parking lots all of the time. So when I left my spot, my tires were just spinning, but as soon as I realized this I let off, dropped to a lower gear and slowly leave my spot. While I was waiting to merge into the line to go out the parking lot's only exit, the school resource officer pulls me over, and slaps me with a reckless driving charge. To add fuel to the fire, the officer said he had been watching me for the past week saying I had been doing donuts in the parking lot. There was a honda accord the exact color and body still as mine that had been doing this the past week. I asked him if it was the same plate number, and he retorts "I didn't see the plates but I know it was you". The cop walks over to a green truck just down the row from where I was parked, which happened to be an off duty hp officer. cont.

Stoy continued: The cop then returns to my car saying that the hp officer saw me do it too. That was complete and utter bull, as there were cars blocking the hp's view of me as I was leaving. Needless to say my family fought it and won since there was no had evidence against me since the arresting officer didn't get the plates of the reckless driving honda, and didnt have his dash cam on my car when I was doing an alleged "burn out". I stayed and took pictures of the lot and cars after he left. Another piece of garbage cop just trying to fill his quota.

nickl011, Exactly. I'm glad I'm not the only one w/ the opinion on cops. Although I do see where some of the others are coming from, because not every cop is the same. But it is true the majority are this way.

My first ticket wasnt so much of a problem with the popo than it was just a bullshive school zone. He did let me off for not having my insurance on me so that was cool.

BUT down at my lake weve got this old hardace water patrolman in my cove and one day i was skiing with my dad and we didnt have the proper mirror for skiing so the d!ck writes us up, down talks to my dad who is a lawyer and basically thinks he owns the world. it wouldnt be a big deal if there werent so many drunks out recklessly driving their speedboats to pull over but no he pulls over me and my dad having a nice before dinner ski sesh for not having a mirror. Evil or Very Mad

LemonWake, sucks with water cops, but they can stop who ever they feel like just to check if you have a permit and an adequate number of life jackets. My friends and I were out skating behind the ski, and were just about ready to let me drive, when the sherrif checked out permits, I didn't have one at the time.

Cops do a job that most people do not want to do. If you get hassled by a cop. Think of how many people hassle them. Don't bash cops because you had a bad experience with one. get over it.
