Jet ski wakes are the only way to go W2W is to much like wakeboarding, granted that I still love it but when im behind my loaded Wakesetter that i want to be behind my ski for that more skate feeling and it is way easier to hit all my rails and kickers. Plus the ski does not take up so much petrol.

Just because you are getting air doesn't mean you are wakeboarding...

where are you today? i dont like how people act like they are pros and shizzle. Yeah, your sponsored by ten80 and LF, which is very sweet. but please dont act like your at some peak level in wakeskating - lemons doesnt even do that on here. and i was just kidding about your wake, dont take it seriously. OH! but that little spine thing in the middle would make a good thing to slide - is that what you use:?:

i hate riding behind nice boats with big wakes and towers ect..... its so sketchy i hate it... you ever notice how the lip kinda always changes and rolls over a little? and jetskis are fun but you know how when you cut out you can pull the whole thing? and the lip is always rolled over and choppy... i like small bass boat wakes cause they are about a foot tall.. steep... nice clean wake.... it feels alot more solid, but thats just my opinion i guess because all i really ever ride behind is my bass boat, nobody around here really offers to bring me riding and i learned pretty much all my tricks behind my bass boat. but i like going insideout on jetskis and doing tricks in the flats and hitting rails on jetskis for sure. im really not too picky. but i honestly would rather a $2,000 bass boat then a $60,000 wakeboard boat.

here at home (im only up at the cottage where the malibu is for like a month) my dad has a Lund 17 footer (FISHING BOAT!), and it's fantastic for skating. very, very clean wake. medium size, good for everything. I've been out for the past 4 weekends behind it, and im sticking lip tricks i never could behind our other boat.

| my parents own a air natique that i can ride behind whenever, my best friend has a malibue the other guy we ride with has a super air natique with 2500 pouds in it brian francis has the x star that they use on the pwt (the boat they tow with is brians) but the only thing we skate behind is a 93 sea doo with this little boom we built for it. it is so much more fun. i do also have to agree with lemons that when your behind a boat it feels way sketchier.... But what is important is that (for the 5000 time) YOUR HAVING FUN!!!!!!!!!!!! XOXO

It's true that for lip trick [jibbing] skating I normally don't weight my boat. But's it's a big I/O [22'] that put's out a pretty big wake unweighted. With weight you have to keep the speed up more and it will have a tendency to roll over.Unweighted you can really crank out the trim to make the ultimate sharp pointy lip on the wake and it stays consistent and clean at 18-21mph.It's really not that much smaller either I find the only real difference is unweighted it will flatten out more at w2w speeds of 22-23mph.
Unweighted wake
