So i was wondering why a winch hasnt been built with one or is it not possible from what i have seen vertical shaft motors are a lot cheaper
from what i picture the spool would sit horizontal instead of veritical and you would need the same parts as before or is there some problem that i'm missing _________________ Rubber Skating on them deuce twinkies!
The rope would wind poorly and any slack in your chain would be a mess. prob jump of the sprocket. A chain tensioner could help but you might as well spend the extra cash on a good engine. _________________ [all previous posts under MTwakeRaiderz]

it could work but there is too much slack in the rope when you ride and it will jerk you a round. its not worth doing it just spend the extra money on a better engine and it will last long and have a much smoother ride. you always get what you pay for so if its cheap it will run cheap too.

They make flexible shafts the you can connect to your engine shaft vertically but bend 90 degrees and run in to and shaft coupling clutch and a horizontal spool. But don't tell anyone. It's very hush hush

Aw. Thanks baby. There's not alot going on up here. It's been cold as balls for a while. Hopefully the spring will bring some fun. You need to make sure to get back up here sometime this year.
