I usually don't call people out, but this is just ridiculous. I just want to let sellers be aware who not to sell to. I posted my dealings in the classifieds, but wanted to make sure everyone sees this.
POPTART, I sent you your shoes the day after you said you stated you would take them via PM on Nov 21st. I told you $20.00 including shipping. It cost me 10.00 to ship the damn things. It has now been over a month and you can't send me a measly $20.00? I have PMed you Nov 24th, Dec 4th, and 9th. You said you have "been busy". Well I hope you are busy making some money to pay your bills. I have seen you posting on here, so I know you are around when you should probably be punching the time clock so you can pay off your debts.
Honestly, it is not the $20.00 any longer, it is the principle of the whole thing. I took your word, sent out the shoes the next day which cost me a hair over $10.00 shipping so it isn't like I am making any money on the deal, I just thought I would give some good deals on the stuff I had laying around. If you truly can't afford $20.00, let me know and I will write this off to a loss.
To be honest, I have sold tons of stuff to board members on other forums I frequent and have never been burned. All and all I have had great transactions with most. Lucky for me, this is the cheapest thing I have ever sold to another forum member. I am glad it wasn't something pricey.
Have a good Christmas, I hope you use that $20.00 to buy yourself some dignity.

Like I said, it is not even the 20bux anymore, it is the fact people can't stick to their word. If the guy would have contacted me and said he is broke or he just forgot, I would understand. You shouldn't say you are going to buy something, have the person send it to you and then say you have been too busy to pay for it.
I had to PM him to even get a lame excuse that he has been too busy. He didn't even have the decency to PM himself and let me know what was going on till I contacted him. |

he is a jeweler so i wouldnt really call it a lame excuse, its probably true. i think he said he does like 80% of his business in this month. Jewelers aren't typically poor ether so i'm sure he has your 20 bucks stashed somewhere.

Well, that is a good excuse. BUT, you know this, so he has time to tell somebody. He has time to post on here. You would think he would have the time to PM me to let me know what is going on. I am easy going. All I asked for was some communication or a check for $20.00. I received nothing. |

I am extremely busy as well. When POPTART said he wanted the shoes, I made a point to box them up and ship them EXPRESS mail. Basically what I was asking for the shoes was to make sure I could cover shipping. I didn't really care about making an extra 20bux. I run a very sucessful dealership but I always make time to fulfill my obligations to others. If I say I am going to do something, I do it.
Sorry, that just doesn't cut it. |

Oh, so I guess you feel it is ok to take something from someone and not pay for it?
Like I said, it is not the 20bux but the principle. I don't like seeing anyone get taken.
Do you honestly think I am in the wrong? If so, you really need to take a long hard look at yourself. It really shows what kind of people are out there if you think this is OK to do to someone. 20 bux, 500 bux, 20000 bux. It doesn't matter. I gave POPTART plenty of chances to work something out. I am writing it off but I am not going to just be quiet about it. |

Classy, how does that solve the situation? If you don't like reading his posts, then don't open the thread. The only person that needs to be putting up the money is the buyer. Not his boyfriend.
The only reason I'm chiming in on this thread, is because I've had this happen to me twice on the forums already. Well not the same situation, but two people have fvcked me over and it sucks to be in this position. Whether is be twenty dollars, a winch or a board.
